I can only imagine this move was made for one of two reasons at this point: keep fans somewhat interested for ticket sales, or as a two week rental to see if we can catch the Mets before then deadline. We couldn’t catch them with Acuna, so it’s doubtful we do without.

I don't know if I'd even consider Ball a prospect since he was a 24th Rd. pick and hasn't made it above High A yet, but I think I remember reading positive things about his power on Talking Chop.
I hated Pederson when he was with the Dodgers, then I saw something about how he takes care of his brother who is special needs, then I felt like a piece of shite for calling Pederson a piece of shite.

Yeah, apparently he hasn't been doing much at the minor league level, so we didn't pay much of anything for Joc. I just wonder if we turn right back around and trade him before the deadline if we fall further back, or is this AA's possible replacement for Ozuna if he is implicated.
