Would you rather our new DC reverted back to the 4-3?

Title is pretty self explanatory. If you could handpick a defensive set to go into next season with knowing the high-tempo offense we'll be running, what defense do you want to accompany it? I personally think there's a lot of potential with us in the 3-4 but the problem has been getting guys on campus to make it work.

I dont think we have a noseguard for the 3-4, never did. Don't think it does good things for Sosa either.

Then you probably want the 3-4.

On the other hand, our secondary was actually really salty at the beginning of the year when there was actually still something to play for. The defense as a whole was damn salty before they realized our offense was run by the little sisters of the poor. Watching our defense just slowly quit on the rest of the team was probably the most sad thing to watch this season.

I would like to see us stay 3 4. assuming we have a nose guard somewhere on the team. I think some of the reasons we shifted were valid. puts more speed on the field in my opinion and you'll be stuck in nickle a lot anyways these days so why not go for it full time?

I'm actually hoping Rhoades gets a fair shot at the job and we stay with the 3-4.

I believe you would see more blitzing and CBs closer than 10 yards away from the WRs if Chad lets him do what he wants to do vs trying to micromanage him like Bert did.

We were getting gashed with the run game, even early on. I don't care which we use, but if we don't get significantly better against the run, everyone is going to use it to kill us. We are now the teams we looked to ball control and grind it out on.

I want our cornerbacks to be within 3 yards of the wrs at the snap.

We all have a pipe dream, this coach don't have a defensive clue.

I'll settle for within 5 yards on 3rd and 4, anyway. Hopefully, the days of a 10 yard cushion on every down are over.

Considering we have Pulley and Curl, I agree.

I like the 3-4, but I would also love to see more blitzing from various positions and showing blitz before the snap but dropping back into coverage. Our defense isn’t even vanilla, it’s baby shite flavored. I’ll jump up and scream out loud if I see a corner jam a receiver this season too.

Up tempo offense has to go with a defense that gets off the field quickly. I think the 3-4 is the best option for creating turnovers. Probably our best bet.

It was a wise decision for Bielema to make the switch, but a fricking retarded decision to not allow Rhoads to blitz from it.

As long as it works I don't care. They can trot out the older then dirt 5-3-3 defense if it works.

I want him to run whatever he is comfortable with, I'm not sure what kind of defense he had at SMU.
