Malzahn wasn't "ready" when Auburn hired him away from ASU. You could probably say the same for Pete Carroll and Bear Bryant, when we passed on Carroll and almost hired Bryant. When is a coach "ready"?

I'm still not sure if saban would be ready . sure he won at Alabama but could he really do that at Arkansas?

Morris was a guy I was extremely high on going into the season, but he seems to have coached himself out of several good jobs (ours and potentially A&M’s). He’s lost his last 3 and is sitting at 6-5.

Matt Campbell beat Texas Tech 66-10 in his first year on the job.
Same damn team Bielema got embarrassed by the year before, which was the same year Matt Campbell embarrassed Bielema at Toledo.

Would love to get Campbell. His stock has probably dropped a bit too the last few weeks, but he's still a great coach. Large buyout though.

I see his potential.
He doesn't the have the depth at Iowa State to sustain high levels of play week in and week out, but you can see with a cursory glance that he is the best coach out there.
He ROUTINELY takes down programs bigger than his own. And often in dramatic fashion. On the road vs a top 5 opponent.
Or on the road vs Arkansas with Toledo. (Which by the way, was easily Bielema's best team. Back-to-back shut outs of ranked opponents that year and 5-3 in conference play).
That Toledo over Arkansas game was incredible.
