Nickel and diming your big name OC by 100K or so isn't going to do anything to keep other programs off of him.
$1.75 would be a big step, but really, I'd say $2M sends the message to everyone loud and clear.

If he’s serious about staying at Arkansas and it’s a money issue then if hes really offered a 2 mil contract at some place like Miami then he would be willing to wait and see if we match it.

If we land Brini and McGlothern to replace Brooks and Foucha then you’re seeing us somehow actually manage to upgrade in the secondary. And last week we all wanted to pack Carter’s bags for him.
