A reminder we got Ridgeway in April last year.
More players will enter the transfer portal from other teams in the spring after offseason and spring practice.
I was a big concerned with Player being listed at 6'0" 285 pounds on 247. I understand he plays with leverage and bull rushes but in the SEC you need size up front too.

He is also an upperclassman that would see playing time against other upperclassmen. So no guarantee of being a starter and he would be the smallest player on the defensive line.

Tulsa depth chart had him listed around 300 I believe.

He’s pretty much Darius Philon’s size. There’s a role for guys with that kind of frame if they’re explosive enough

Sounds like we’re pursuing the Auburn DT, Miami DT and Georgia DB next. Curious to see if we’d take two DTs or go after another DE or CB. Might just hold the last spot for BPA in the spring.

I think the staff will find enough spots if enough blue chip type guys want to come on board that they reach out to.

In addition to Ridgeway, we also got Utsey in late April and Tre Williams in early May. We got the entirety of our starting defensive line last year after spring ball, so we're likely not done.
However, the portal giveth and the portal taketh away, so we could very well experience a bit more attrition ourselves after spring practice.

Yeah I wouldn’t be surprised after the spring game if one or more of our backs decides to hit the portal. I like them all but if aj green still doesn’t get many touches in spring he’ll probably look for greener pastures

I’m fully expecting us to lose a couple. Our luck will be someone we thought was important that another school poaches illegally, Mike Woods.

Good thing about our portal haul is that by and large the fan base of the schools they're leaving hate to see them go.
Fans of OU, Bama, and LSU have all had great things to say about Haselwood, Sanders, and McGlothern and largely seem to wish they weren't leaving.

When they start getting upset, which they are, then you are getting good players. There is a Bama fan melting in the LSU transfer thread and LSU fans coming off a losing season suggesting Pittman will be fired in 2024.

We jumped up to #5 in the transfer rankings with the addition of Sanders and McGlothern.
