That hog/local team section in the front of most stores, you can’t throw some of the player merchandise there? Then Walmart can say they support small local businesses?

Seems like a win/win. Can’t tell me a Burks jersey wouldn’t fly off the shelves

I don't think ya'll are getting this.

A&M donors are just setting up shell company LLCs and straight paying players.

Commercials, jerseys, etc are a waste of time.

Arkansas is slightly bigger than Mississippi and Louisiana has lost over 27,000 residents. NIL favors big states like Georgia, Texas and Florida. Bama will make damn sure they aren't being left out.

We are apparently not doing that as of yet. Need to figure out something we can work with.

Lucas Coley was a 4* QB who has great potential and has a much bigger body frame than Hornsby. Arkansas will be fine at QB. We also have the Ole Miss transfer on roster.

Bro....these guys are backup transfers for a reason. I can promise you, Lucas Coley is not going to be an improvement from KJ or Malik.

That 247 page has a little note that says “last updated at 8:47am”

So I dunno if that means there are no additional changes or if there could be some out there and they just haven’t updated yet.

You can’t sell it like that, I think that would be university paying them. You could sell a red shirt, his name on the back and number and just the word Arkansas. And give him a percentage. Or just lease the name.

Or take Kamani Johnson’s apparel thing he started up and sell those in the store.

I don’t think you get it, that shite can’t last. Businessmen who have the money to throw towards it, aren’t going to keep paying for a 8-4 season. What happens when that 5 star they bought turns out to be a Darius Winston. You are betting large sums of money on children, who can’t control their emotions 99% of the time.

Also 99% of 5 star QBs aren’t going to come in to back up a Spencer Rattler without making the same as he does. But why would you do that when Spencer is a preseason Heisman candidate.

For this to work long time it’s going to be them making money off their name by providing a service/good. Like twitch streams or YouTube videos. You can’t pay Quinn Ewers $4m and then recruit his replacement back up and say sorry you had the same ranking and he hasn’t started a game but you get 50k.

I tend to agree with this, I think the market is going to eventually level itself out in a couple of years once the initial feeding frenzy dies down.

Offering every Jimmy and Joe that signs with your school a guaranteed nice chunk of money without getting any sort of return on that investment really isn't sustainable for most programs. I also hope some of these NIL deals include clauses about the deal being terminated if the player transfers from their current school. That might offer a little incentive for some players to stay put and take guaranteed money instead of going out fishing for potential money. That's probably just a pipe dream though.

Anything signifying school affiliation would/could be a violation of title ix from what I have heard, but I think the school could give EVERY athlete the ability to use it, I remember one school did that.

But then it comes up on licensing agreement issues so most don’t do that.
