Recruiting is subjective to assumptions and opinions. I'm more inclined to believe the likes of what Sam or Saban says than what a nerd on 24/7 or rivals that has never played the game

Aggregate recruiting rankings are pretty accurate

QB and OL play will determine if we win 4/5 or 8/9

Defense is actually a unit I'm confident in.

I haven't allowed myself to be overly optimistic for many years now. SMILE. damn near killed me.

I do believe Sam is the right guy and the "leadership" of this team, especially on defense, is great to see again after a looooooooong absence.

I think we can win six, but with the other non Bama teams going through some changes as well it could be a much better year.

In 2019, Arkansas was one of the youngest teams in the nation thanks to Morris running off almost 40 players. The defense had nothing but freshmen. Now they are redshirt sophomores or juniors. I know it is easy to say that Arkansas will suck again this year but they have quietly put together more pieces to the puzzle.

I agree but it still comes down to qb play. If KJ is cam newton we'll be 10-2. If we get shitty qb play we won't win 6 games.

No team will have any winning seasons without good QB play. If Jefferson can just move the chains then Arkansas is in that 6-8 win category.

Stop at 9 next time. 7-5 is tremendous success this year. 8-4 would be incredible, and most likely impossible.

I am thrilled to be utterly wrong in my prediction of 5-7. That stretch of games in the middle of the season was brutal AF but we survived and bounced back to finish strong.

Defense

Ridgeway and Williams (portal) made a HUGE difference in our defense this year. Freed up the linebackers to have a monster year. Corners and safeties weren't quite up to par but hung in. Losing Catalon hurt back there. Again, Ridgeway and Williams were able to get some decent pressure and helped the DB's as well. Except for against Bama and Georgia pretty much.
Ridgeway and William made the defense this year, IMO.

Well, it's not like the wheels haven't fallen off again and again in the last seems like forever. Seems like reasonable response to our conditioning. Fortunately, the players and coaches didn't see it that way.
