How does this affect our bowl status? Could we somehow end up in the Peach Bowl?

Peach is a NY6 at large bowl. No chance.

Sugar Bowl: Alabama or Ole Miss
Peach Bowl: Alabama or Ole Miss
Citrus Bowl: Alabama or Ole Miss or Kentucky(likely)
Outback: Kentucky or Arkansas
Gator: Arkansas or Kentucky or aTm

With UK winning tonight, I figure they have locked themselves to Outback. Arkansas likely Gator bound.

I still think we have a good chance at the Citrus, especially after A&M’s loss.

Alabama goes to the CFP with a SECCG win or the Sugar with a loss next week. If the former, Ole Miss gets the Sugar.

IMO Ole Miss will get a NY6 at large—likely the Peach—if Bama goes to the Sugar.

Feels like the Citrus is between us and Kentucky, and our ranking and resume is much better.

Not likely but Bama winning changes all of this

Yep, absolute paper tiger.

Kentucky is a product of their schedule. A decent team in the East can win 9-10 games/yr easily if they have a good draw from, the west.

In the West, Kentucky probably loses 5-6 games.

What is the point of playing these tough schedules and all we get is the liberty bowl?

The entire East always getting a free gimmie game in Vandy has always pissed me off/annoyed me.

Missouri and South Carolina are going to a bowl because of Vandy.

Vanderbilt is 1-24 in the SEC the last 3 seasons with 2 winless seasons.

In basketball in that same 3 year span they are 9-45 with 1 winless 0-18 season.

I don't get why they are in the conference. As if the SEC couldn't upgrade with a similar academic school that can at least compete a little bit.

All anyone ever replies with is baseball, but Vandy is not one of the few SEC teams that is profitable in baseball. They also average ~3K fans. That doesn't even begin to level out how shite they are in football and basketball.

My wife was griping about that last night and asking if/how Vandy can be kicked out of the SEC.

Hopefully the pod system helps re-balance the conference, because the directional West-East split is totally lopsided. Vandy aside, Kentucky’s program has a losing all-time record, and USCe is 20 games above .500 life to date.

We'll end up in the gator bowl because that would be the ONLY one that doesn't work for me logistics wise.
