The coaching at the end of the game was egregious

High school shite. Holy hell that was bad.

Nothing will happen, though. Nobody will be fired. Firing Cramsey would at least give us hope, but nope. It won’t happen. I was against firing Silverfield after one season but now screw it.

Running the ball, at will, with a lead blocker... and we give it up. Words fail me.

I better not hear about Pittman’s poor game management again. Silverfraud makes Pittman look like Saban lol

We haven’t had “it” for a long time. By “it”, I mean the grit to will a victory no matter what the other team throws at us. I made the mistake of getting enthusiastic near the end. I forgot for a moment just how bad we truly are. We need a QB. We need a D. They ran it t down our throat at the end of the game and made us like it. I think our play the last five minutes was some of the worst I’ve seen. I am certain the coaching and play calling was the worst I’ve ever seen.

So Kentucky with half the NIL of LSU beats LSU.
It's almost as if coaching still matters.

I thought letting them score with 2 min left was exactly the right call. However from there it was retard city.

I am still in shock at the multitude of coaching screw ups today. But that 4th down call really sticks with me. What the actual hell.

Yes, one of the few bright spots on our team is the problem. They are not, and have not been, perfect but they (outside of a few of them) have played their hearts out to the best of their ability. They're probably the only unit we've actually seen meaningful improvement from throughout the season. Then their HC decides its a good idea when they're obviously wearing down after a hard fought game to put the game on their shoulders with 1:40 something left on the clock.
The fact that your post said nothing of our Hodor of an OC, but instead focused on our QB and defense, tells me you don't really follow Hog ball and are most likely an alter as the poster above said.
Eta okay you did mention play calling. But still, the QB (as bad as he is) and defense are not our biggest issues.

I reluctantly went to the game. The booing when he punted was amazing. What a clown.

You guys tell me, but every time I watch film breakdowns, I don't see things screaming we have a bad QB.
I see a really sad offensive line.
I see one legit WR. I see questionable play calling. I see RBs that aren't good at understanding pass protection.
I see a QB that can keep the defense honest with his legs and has a pretty capable arm. Some tunnel vision, some bad decisions at time, but not a terrible QB that you don't even want to give the chance to make something happen in that situation.
This is probably a hot take but KJ Jackson looks to me like a better QB than Taylen or KJ Jefferson

No, he's not "bad" and that was probably a poor choice of words in my post. As it is right now, he's not good either but that's probably not his fault. He has talent and given the right coaching, in the right system, could probably be above average. His mechanics are off, more often than not, when passing the ball. As you stated, he does have tunnel vision and still stares down his intended receiver way too often. It's also obvious that for some reason he has been hobbled, by the coaching staff, for some reason from scrambling. Either that or he doesn't have the vision to recognize when it's time to scramble. He showed a lot of promise in his limited appearances, last season, but again that was with a more competent offensive staff.
Eta...meanwhile Kentucky, State, and Missouri are currently in the top five of the SEC standings while we sit squarely at the bottom...AGAIN.

Yeah I mean I do get the criticisms of him, and I'm speaking more generally and not targeted at you... just seems like a lot of people think we have a QB problem at the core, which I don't really think is the case. This is still college and you can overcome a lot of deficiencies with just pure talent. For example, we could sit here and analyze Matt Jones' flaws as a QB all day, but ultimately he's one of the greatest QBs in Arkansas history.

I agree with this. Just speculating but I get the feeling that he's being given too many restrictions. I'd rather just see them let him go out and play some backyard ball at this point. Just looks like he's playing tight.

Okay but Pittman’s game management WAS bad, both can be true at the same time

My comments should have been better qualified by restricting them to the last five minutes of the game and by that time the D was worn out——I should have acknowledged that.
We need a quarterback. If you can’t see that then you’ve been conditioned to losing for so long that it’s clouded your vision, with all due respect. He is not good at making split second decisions.
The terrrible coaching didn’t help anything. Again, we are now so comfortable existing in a culture of losing that I am sure some Hog fans are just glad we gave Tennessee a run for their money.

I'm certainly not one of them. I've been numb to our football program for quite a while, and not comfortably so. I go into every game, against any team with a pulse, expecting to lose. I go into any game, against lower tier competition, with the expectation that we could lose or at least WILL look like shite beating them. Any time we take the lead, against any team, all I can think is, "how are we going to screw it up this time?". I still love the Hogs and hate what they've been allowed to become. But the losses just don't have that deep, soul-searing burn like they used to. It's now more of a shrug and a "welp, that's 3.5 hours I'm never getting back." It's really a sad existence.

If tweet fails to load, click here. Interesting footnote in the post...we've handed off on 15% of 3rd &7+ plays. Twice the FBS average. Cramsey thinks he's smarter than virtually everyone else in college football. It's always the dumb ones that think they're the smartest person in the room.
