Do you know how hard it is to play at the Division 1 level for 11 consecutive weeks?

A lot easier in the Big 12 I can assure you.

And very low

According to the below link, TCU had 14 transfers and finished ranked #13 in portal classes.

Yes, behind Arkansas, like I said. They finished 28th for both and still behind Arkansas.

But the point here isn't to say that Dykes hasn't done a great job, because clearly he has. The point is that you can make the championship game without a top-15 high school class, which some of us didn't think was possible for a while.

The point of I was trying to make is that it is very hard to go unbeaten in the SEC and a team like Georgia has a tendency to play down to the competition. All teams do this and you can't expect Georgia to just destroy these teams each Saturday in a tough conference. The toughest job for Kirby is getting them ready to play each and every Saturday. But yet critics say that wasn't good enough because Georgia should have dominated more in a supposedly down SEC.

Georgia recruits so well every year and are one of the few programs that don't lose many players to the portal. I know a friend who use to be a NFL scout and I asked what college team had the most talent? He said Georgia is in a league above the rest. Alabama is good but not on that level. He mentioned Ohio State.

Depleted or not, Ohio State is another recruiting giant that is close in talent level to Georgia. Everyone said Georgia would destroy OSU. I had no belief that was ever going to happen because the talent was very similar but OSU lost in the end because the better team won and that is all that matters. Georgia didn't play very well and still won.

Now for TCU. I said this before if Georgia doesn't turn the ball over and they play well in the first half then this will be a long game for TCU.

Yeah Georgia played like shite but still won by double digits. We all saw how Arkansas played like shite against Liberty and lost. It must be nice being Georgia knowing you don't have to play very hard and still win by more than two TDs.

They beat 12 opponents by 10 points or more. Regardless if these teams suck or not that is impressive.

TCU was the more physical team playing the Big 10 champ yesterday. TCU is going to give UGA all they want, if they don’t win the game.

I disagree. I think Georgia wins by 3-4 touchdowns after that scare last game

It’s annoying that some believe the SEC is the end all be all in college football.

It would appear not

The one nice thing about being in the SEC is if we're pretenders we will find out quickly

I don’t know - I definitely could be wrong but I’m with Hawgeye on this one. I think TCU will absolutely give Georgia a game, if not win outright.

I will take my crow fried, if that’s an option.

TCU should have never played Georgia.

Death sentence by the committee.

The Ohio State game already determined the champion.

Bet they would have won if it weren’t for that 11 game stretch in the Big 12 beehive.

Chandler Morris sighting lol

They would play a part in this absolute beat down.

Well this game proved how lousy the Big 12 conference is.

This was the best game Georgia played all year but critics kept bringing up games like Kent State and say that Georgia was overrated because they struggled with them.

Keep in mind Georgia dragged arse and still won by 17. They had a lot of games where they didn't play at full strength and still won by double digits.

They played at full strength in this game and the talent level was too much for TCU. Georgia could goof off and still win this game.

Meh…TCU was missing their top RB and were two time zones over…No tailgating seemed to mess with TCU more than UGA.

8/10 thread. Would read again. Lol if you thought TCU would hold up to UGA.

What this did show was that Arkansas would be much more successful on the field in another conference. We will never be a major player in the SEC but would have been one of the Big 3 in the Big 12 had we been there the past 30 years.

Financially we are better off in the SEC but they can count the money while all the fans have is an empty trophy case.

It showed that anyone outside of maybe 8 schools stand no chance.

Recruiting would have suffered if Arkansas joined the Big 12.

Moving to another conference also reduces our funding, traveling fanbases in conference, support for sports outside of football.... So our program would actually decay a little overall pretty quickly. Also our recruiting probably dips further and we struggle even more to keep in state talent...

I'm confident we can place in the top 12 and have a punchers chance eventually...

We won like 5 or 6 trophies last year...
