I definitely believe that. That’s like being top 3 in the west.

The problem is, they allowed them to have guaranteed spots for conference champions.

It should have been conference champions in the top 20. Remember when Connecticut won the ACC or Big East and got a BCS bowl and they were barely over 500.

Moving to another conference also reduces our funding

It doesn't matter if you aren't using the funding you have.

Except for Basketball I don't give a shite. I guess we can't have that college fishing team now. College football is now a business and we aren't treating it like one.

Also our recruiting probably dips further and we struggle even more to keep in state talent...

Not if you win. Look at Clemson. They would never have built the program in the SEC West

Agree. Look at this season… What if Purdue upset Michigan in the Big Ten title game? Would LSU or Alabama have been left out? Tulane gets a spot as an auto G5…Utah gets in, what about USC?

When you look at only 12 slots, then filled automatically by 5 conference champions and the highest rated G5…That would leave 6 spots available this year for TCU, USC, LSU, Alabama, Tennessee, Ohio State, Clemson, Penn State, and Washington.

Once the 12 team playoff happens there won’t be anymore divisions....it will be the overall #1 and #2 paying for the conference championship which will keep this from happening

Recruiting would have suffered if Arkansas joined the Big 12.

Disagree. It certainly didn’t seem to be bad when we were in the SWC.

It would suffer because most recruits would rather play in the SEC than the Big 12. Texas and Oklahoma are different and recruiting for both programs wouldn't change no matter what conference they are in.

But Arkansas isn't that fortunate and still wouldn't stand out in the Big 12. Yeah Arkansas doesn't stand out in the SEC but Arkansas still recruits better than most of the Big 12. Arkansas wouldn't have the same prestige as those two programs if they joined the Big 12. Arkansas would be seen as another West Virginia.

I have seen plenty of players come here that chose Arkansas over the likes of TCU, Baylor and Texas Tech. If Arkansas was in the Big 12 then they would no longer have that advantage of being in the SEC. I have seen time and time again the comments that was said of why they committed to Arkansas. We want to play in the SEC, We want to play in the SEC against the best.

The SEC is a monster in recruiting because every football player in the nation is trying to squeeze through the door to get in.

I would rather play in the SEC and go ahead and take the losses first than do what TCU did and made a mockery of themselves on national TV. shite they weren't good enough to win the awful Big 12.
