Talked to a guy today with lots of AD connections around CFB

He said Arkansas' BoT and AD have no idea what they're doing.
He said they had only a 3 man list from the beginning: Campbell, Kiffin, and Fuente.
He said it was widely known by every AD or anyone associated with coaching searches in the country that Campbell wasn't leaving Iowa State for anything other than a huge job, and said on Fuente, (who first off isn't even that great of a coach), everyone knew he wasn't leaving VA. Tech, where he has a chance at winning the division every year, for Arkansas.
So that left all of HYs eggs in the Kiffin basket. And whatever happened with Ole Miss, he lost out and then had no backup plan.
The quote from this person says it's all:
"Arkansas had a list of three guys and everyone knew 2 of them weren't coming. He should have a list of 20 guys. They don't know what they're doing."
Also said that there has been very very little leak out from Arkansas and does not know where Hunter goes from here.

why the frick would any AD conducting a coaching search let other AD's know his list of candidates? let alone that it supposedly only had 3 names on it.

Doesn't this kind of go against the rest of what he said though?
Lord help us if this is accurate, but I just don't see it. What about the tracked planes that went all over the country for several coaches that aren't on that "3 man list?"

Yes it does somewhat contradict the statements and I even said that to him, but he was adament that it was only a 3 man list.

Very Very Little leak, but I know there was only a 3 man list... and by the way, these were the guys on that list. Holy shite some of you will believe anything you hear
