I expected us to beat A&M so can move mine down to 8-4. We lose to BYU and I will really need to retool my expectations.

Some pretty damned high expectations in that list considering we were replacing 2 linebackers, Busta Brown, Ridgeway, Williams, and the two kids that went to LSU along with Burks on offense.
At this point I hope I'm just a game off.

I don't know if I made any season predictions elsewhere, but if I did it would have been in the 9-3, 8-4 area.
Now I'm hoping for 6-6, figuring 5-7.

Ole Miss? good, but that schedule is terrible. Exatcly how good are they?

Here is the deal from my point of view. Ole Miss hasn't played anyone with a pulse. KY gave them the game. Hello TAMU and Us! Mizzou is surprising on D... but...LSU doesn't scare me, and Auburn wins if they get the officials they want, BYU/no clue. Liberty nah!

Auburn is honestly a toss up but they’re such a dumpster fire if we lose to them we’re worse than I thought. Probably finish 6-6 but 5-7 wouldn’t shock me either. Seasons been a major disappointment

6-6 would be good considering Arkansas has had back to back bowl appearances since 14 and 15.
Last year Arkansas was closer to 6-6 than 8-4. This year they look to be on par with that.

Kidding! Not sure how I missed the prediction thread.
To be honest, I thought we’d be around 8-4. Now I think we’ll end at 5-7 or 6-6.
I figured we’d find a way to derp away A&M and had no chance against Bama, so oddly enough we were somewhat where I thought we’d be heading into the MSU game. I didn’t see our offensive struggles or our defense being as anemic as it has been.
I’m not being overly pessimistic or cynical, but I don’t know how anyone looks at the remainder of our schedule and pencils in anything as a guaranteed W.
- BYU is tough, at home, and has a really good offense.
- Auburn’s defense is salty and always tough in JHS. Also, we have beaten them ONCE in the last 10 years.
- Ole Miss is undefeated and looks really good. Their offense will feast.
- LSU looks pretty good, and like Auburn their defense can play.
- Liberty does best what we defend against the worst.
- Mizzou - Drinkwitz has us circled as his Super Bowl each year. He’ll have his team up for that game.

Correction - 15 and 16.
We went to the Liberty in 2015 and the infamous Belk Bowl in 2016.

My bad. Still going to back to back bowls is better than 2-10 and sitting at home.
I went to Memphis twice in 09 and 15. It is one of the cheaper bowls you can go to. I don't understand why hog fans would be disappointed in going to a minor bowl. Did anyone really believe this team was 10-2 or better?

8-4 was achievable until the KJ Superman dive. Now 7-5 is the ceiling with a mass of injuries and what seems like a team that’s lost its mojo.
I think we can beat BYU despite our depleted defense. They are going to have a problem with our run game. After that, all bets are off. He’ll, even Misery played Georgia a hell of a game recently. This BYU game will be the difference in us making a bowl or sitting at the house

Yep if Arkansas loses this game against BYU then this team has lost its balls.
I want this team next game to play like it is the last game for these players, if they do then BYU wished they hadn't scheduled the hogs.

Not how I imagined we get there but I did have us at 3-3 at this point so I’m still safe on my 8-4 prediction.

I was thinking 7-5 or 8-4 and then after the coaches telling us how good our receiving corp and secondary was going to be, I jumped to 9-3. I think we'll be lucky to get 6 wins, now.

Yeah never trust the coaches pre season. I thought Pittman would shoot us straight in where we are but he either didn’t want to or didn’t know we weren’t as good.
I prefer the Lou Holtz method.....tell me the team sucks pre season and let me be surprised when the make a bowl game
