6-6 should still be the floor. With something like 8 or 9 wins max.

6 wins is the floor? More like 3. 11-1 max. Next year can go either way and without knowing what we get from the portal I don't feel like either is out of the realm of possibility. We should bring back a lot and with the exception of LB what we lose we should be able to upgrade.

Kind of silly to really try to put a number on next year right now. I think we lose at least one RB to the portal. We will be lucky if we don't lose a starter to a top tier program. We just don't know what half of our starting positions will look like right now. Not to mention if the ball bounces our way or not next year . We are just as close to 5-6 right now as we are to 8-3.

I still see Mizz as a toss up game. Our season this year is still up in the air. We can easily end up 7-6. Lets be happy we get a bowl and pump the brakes on any assumptions for next years team.

If we win 3 games next year I'll be done with the Pittman era.

The expectation should be bowl game anything else is still whipped cream and cherries.

Johnson and Sanders say 'hi'.
Green may have the best speed, but I haven't seen him passing those just yet

Chances are the team takes a step back. Defense will lose its 2 best DBs, 2 of 3 LBs, and the entire starting D line. Offense will lose both OTs and 3 WRs.

Haven’t seen much from the reserves to suggest they will fill the holes seamlessly.

KJ being back could be the equalizer though.

Losing Burks hurts but KJ and the line should be even better. Can Henry or Knox put on weight?

We don't have the guys on campus to field an average SEC defense for next year. We'll see how the portal goes.

7-5

Hard to say though before seeing what kinds of transfers we get. Losing Burks and our linebackers makes me nervous though

Knox put on weight?

I was stoked with Knox yesterday. Made some big catches. Something we haven’t seen since he has been on campus. Put me in the camp of excited with him at TE if he can add about 10-15 pounds.

Cincinnati-W - Fickell should get a better job.
South Carolina-W
Missouri state -W - Beating BMFP will be nice.
Texas A&M-W
Alabama-L
Mississippi state -W
BYU-W
Auburn-W -Don’t feel he is recruiting to replace current players
Liberty -W
LSU -W - unless they bring in Saban again
Ole miss- W - Kiffin should be gone
Missouri -W

Having 3 top 25 classes in the past 4 years will be nice.
We are a year ahead of schedule this year, and we should go 8-4. 9-4 depending on the bowl draw.

25-30 lbs to be Gronk/Tony Gonzalez size/weight

I'm not confident we will be as good as we are this year.

We may be half as good if we’re lucky. We lose practically the entire defense and a lot of offensive weapons. It will be a rough transition.

Maybe I am just too overly optimistic

If our coaches can grab some good ones in the portal then it won't be as bad, but our depth has been a problem for a while now and Pittman is going to need time to build the roster.

Maybe I'm too pessimistic.

We don’t need him to be that. Just get up to 230-240. Pitt said he has already gained some and his roster weight from start of season shows 215. So let’s say he is around 220-225 now…240 or so is doable. Maybe he can start mealing with KJ.

Think he was listed at 210 last time I looked and Gronk was 246. That’s why I said 25-30.

3 wins looks something like the below. No way are we that far set back under anyone who can gameplan.

quote:

Cincinnati- toss up
South Carolina-L
Missouri state -W
Texas A&M- L
Alabama-L
Mississippi state -L
BYU- toss up
Auburn-L
Liberty -W
LSU -L
Ole miss- L
Missouri -L

So you think we lose to South Carolina Missouri, Cincinnati after they lose more than we do, Both Mississippi schools, the Mormons of BYU, and a first year head coach at LSU in Fayetteville, all while bringing back a potential all sec qb as well as most of our offensive line and almost all of our running backs? Just how bad do you think Arkansas football is?

Oh no. My point was if we did that bad. We've got a coaching problem, no matter how much I like Pittboss. For exactly the logic you said. We'd have to completely fall apart to win only 3 games.

We will struggle next season. We lose lots of LB experience and Burks. We underestimate how much he can change an offense.

theres a chance this happens but it’s going to depend on how much the O line and running backs develop. I really expect to be a good power run team next year.
