Yep it was Bobby's fault because Arkansas had to be stuck with Jeff Long the con artist.

Long didn't have to hire a man with mental problems and Smith said he had these problems to Long. Long knew and admitted this was a mistake. He should have done the right thing and let the assistants run it but instead made them upset and caused them to quit during the season. So Long made it much worse than it should have been.

Bobby had to get permission from Long to sign off on the hire.

Bobby wasn't going to last at Arkansas because his personality never would fit in at Arkansas. Someone or many individuals didn't like him and wanted him gone. He wasn't Houston Nutt, he wasn't going to get any breaks here regardless if any problems was on or off the field.

A couple of great memories under Petrino's watch:

Though I'm getting to be an old man, I'm not as old as some (surely) on this board. What I know is simply this: I had more confidence in Petrino than I've had in any Hog football coach in my lifetime. That really doesn't include Holtz but does include Hatfield.

I felt like we had a chance in any game because of his offensive scheme.

One play crystallizes that for me. At LSU. We get the ball back with, like, 20 seconds in the half on our 20 or so. Instead of taking the knee, he calls a pass play, and 80 yards later, we have a TD.

I wouldn't trade Pittman for anyone today, but I love me some Petrino.

I don’t harbor the ill will I used to for Petrino, but I also don’t have the hero worship that some do for him. He’s the enemy this week, so frick him. I hope we win by 40, just as I’d hope we’d do against any FCS opponent.

I will withhold my typical boos and give him a golf clap.

Once he is done jogging onto the field, it will be making noise, shite talking, and cheering until we are up by 50 like any other game.

After all, they are from Missouri. Just remember how douchy their baseball team is if you need some reminders about who the enemy is

If I'm not mistaken, the broadcast showed Mallett convincing Petrino to let him take a shot. Love that Petrino had that confidence in the team to do that.

I didn’t say it would have been an immediate drop off, but I am pretty sure it’s well documented he didn’t like to recruit and was an a-hole to everyone, including recruits.

That’s why he didn’t survive at Louisville. He had no recruits. And before you say it’s a basketball state/school… so is Kentucky, same state and Stoops has went up to Ohio and taken everyone that doesn’t go to Ohio State. I believe within 3-4 years the program would have imploded. Would have been BCS games before that though.

Was it the OL or the QB's holding the ball too long?

Defenses would rush every down. Partly because our OL wasn't great, but mostly to disrupt the passing game. Our passing game was lit, so disrupting the QB was the best strategy.

Bama and LSU back in 2011 really started to tee off on Wilson because Knile Davis was out for the year and so the lack of a running game put a lot pressure on Wilson.

He would have a drop off but expecting 10 plus wins every year aren't realistic expectations but he sure wouldn't go 3-9 and winless in the SEC either. He probably would go 6-6 or 7-5 in 2013 then go 10 plus win in both 14 and 15. He sure as hell wouldn't lose to Toledo.

Apparently he liked recruiting some or Bert wouldn't have a winning season here. Most of the good or great coaches were assholes anyway because you are dealing with players that are assholes who will run all over you any chance they get.

He failed at Louisville because he was burned out and didn't care if he was fired or not. Not the same Bobby of 2011.
