As the title says.

I'm the type that rarely goes to the doctor but Im trying to get healthier. Just tried a doctor at UAMS and was not a fan.

Recommendations would be appreciated.

At a glance, I thought this was asking for something completely different.

I did too

I can’t help with pcp’s in LR but if you ever need a heart doctor I would avoid Dr. Raja at the Heart Hospital like he had the plague. He treated someone I love with such unkindness. He’s a heartless bastard that I wouldn’t spit on if he was on fire. His wife is also an oncologist- I wouldn’t use her either because at the minimum she has shitty taste.

Well, I would say get a doctor in Searcy or Benton. Little Rock is too light on doctors to get one quickly.

Ask king. He knows where every drug you can find within a 2hr radius.

Its hard to find a good family doctor now a days. I like my doctor, but with his schedule I see him twice a year. I think in today's modern medical environment you should ask what doc has the best nurses? Because you are likely to be dealing with them more often than not.

I'm almost 100% positive I'd take the recommendations here for PCP as more credible than the ones for a PCP

Carey Roach is good. Also Dr Stephen Tucker. My wife uses Dr Oksana Melnyk (pronounced Melnick) with Baptist and loves her. She’s Russian but speaks perfect English and is very thorough but doesn’t beat around the bush either.

Btw I work at Arkansas Cardiology so if any of you need a good Cardiologist I work with several. Also worked at St Vincent so I know the good and bad docs over there too.

You mind explaining what you mean by those two statements? Why Searcy or Benton? What do you mean by LR being too light on doctors?

I feel like the guy that got told a joke and it went right over his head.

better quality of life

better doctors
