I don’t really get the thought that we hired Petrino intending for him to replace Pittman. If our offense sucks and it gets Pittman fired then obviously we don’t want him as the head coach either, but if it’s amazing then idk why we’d mess with what was working

Anyone hear that the Edge NIL was established, and when the hiring of BMFP happened, it made the Edge donations blow up? Wess Moore stated that today on their mid-day show on The Buzz.

Probably, reading here and other boards many are convinced BP is the new HC and he's the same a-hole he was 12 years ago, he will be chewing arse on the sidelines and running the show.

He's mellowed out some, Arkansas the Louisville2.0 humbled him, he will be in the booth, and it's still Sam's show to run.

Seems like Bobby had his ego brought down several notches, it’s a shell of its former self.

Maybe that’ll lead to better recruiting & less locker room a-hole friction.

We got so much airplay in the past 24 hours. My assumption was our OC hire wouldn’t even register on the ESPN CB page because it would be some no name up and comer but we blew that right out of the water.

Every single one of those Marxist shitheels probably can't name 10 college football players. Their opinions mean less than dirt to me or anyone in the SEC.

That is what happens when you get fired multiple times and have countless motorcycle crash memes on the internet.

Media has hated you for years and you are the villain.

I remember a relative that was working at a mall in Rogers. She told me that Bobby Petrino came in and was buying some clothes. When he came to make a purchase, his hands were shaking and he barely spoke. This happened after he was fired at Arkansas and was staying in an apartment in Rogers.

My favorite wrestlers, back in the old Mid-South Wrestling days, were always the heels anyway. I'm loving it.

Pittman looked like he was smelling farts sitting next to Petrino at the BBall game.

Petrino all smiles.

Same guys probably applauded Auburn hiring Hugh Freeze. That show sucks anyway.

There is a bit of a misnomer in how it all went down though.

Fletcher got the ball rolling overall, however Sam remembered how well BP's team played us the season before last. He was very impressed with his offensive acumen.

So, when it was brought up .. others said, "No way" Pittman went to bat to get BP here, and even spoke to some BOT members for it to happen. Frank Fletcher got more involved along with Bazzel. It took a decision by the head dude in changing the wording in the firing documents and overriding those. And, it was done.

Pittman was thrilled overall.... He hasn't been shaking in his boots over this hire. He wants to leave with Arkansas experiencing success prior to retiring. FWIW.

Don't know how many of ya'll have listened to the Razorback Daily Podcast today but its a good one. Interview with Zim, Bo, and BP.

Bobby is a much more humble man these days. I just hope he still has the piss and vinegar in his veins on the sideline though.

No more handcuffs for BP #WPS

Thanks to Dudley again for the notes from the presser today with Pitt introducing Petrino:

• Coach Pittman comes out by himself first

• Coach Pittman said he wanted a man that loved Arkansas as much as Coach Petrino does

• Pitt said he interviewed several candidates, but that CBP was the best of the choices

• It got started with a text from CBP's agent and it took about 10 days from start to finish

• Pitt said there will be more changes

• Notes he will lean on CBP's experience as head coach and would only make sense

• Pitt said it was his idea to take CBP to the Duke game and says they both were laughing trying to figure out what the BP edited on t-shirts meant.

• Pitt says the offense will be turned over completey to CBP just as it was for Kendal Briles and Dan Enos

• Said he did not want to comment on KJ Jefferson out of respect for the QB and will let him announce any decisions he might make

• Notes that some of his players have been approached by other schools with money offers

• Hopes the Arkansas Edge NIL will help

• Pitt notes he has visited with 100 of so of his players with the normal end of season interviews

• Wants to keep the ones he wants and that want to be here, but if they want to leave he will replace them

NOW ON TO BOBBY PETRINO

• His agent is Christian Phillips and she reached out to Coach Pittman without him knowing it, but he is glad she did.

• Admit he was stunned when Pittman called and thought at first 'yeah that's going to happen' and laughed about it

• He met with the entire offense on Tuesday and is going through the process of watching film of the players.

• CBP says that Arkansas is the most special place he has ever coached and that he has always loved Arkansas and watched as many Razorback games as he could

• Believes he has become a better person, teacher, coach, husband and dad since 2011 and now strives to get even better every day.

• CBP has a great respect for Coach Pittman as a coach and a man and loves how confident and comfortable he is.

• Asked about Michigan's sign stealing, he said he didn't know about, but he called out Clemson as someone who did that and said they had a sheet with signals on it.

• CBP has said he doesn't think his offense has changed that much, reels off some former Razorbacks and basically talks about it is not about plays, but about players and taking advantage of situations
