I'll never understand why a coach would telegraph this to an opponent though.

Satenga won’t play and then we’ll get the old coach speak we didn’t find the right time to run those plays excuse.

This week we're gonna practice lining up fast enough to get a play off before the clock expires consistently.... coaches to stop substituting super late and get a play in on time......
And if all goes well Pittman will have enough timeouts at the end of a game to not helplessly watch us lose

All-Time Record: Arkansas leads, 42-34-3
What a sad shitshow the last 12 years have been.

Why isn’t Antonio Grier playing more? Outside of the Pick 6 and the Horrible Roughing call I don’t recall him being on the field
He tweeted (since deleted) after the LSU game that he was perfectly healthy and if people wanted to know why he wasn’t playing, “your guess is as good as mine.” So that’s great.

Oh great.
Sounds like this year’s crop of locker room issues is on schedule to start popping up around week 7.

It's like they're trying to push us away.

The Fall 2012 team was the same team that went 11-2, plus we also had Brandon Allen in line and then his brother after that for Petrino.
I remember posting on the rant when the record was 41-24.
Nothing but sadness.
In better news, we get to celebrate our annual butthole checkup by our proctologist, Dr. Saban, in a couple of weeks.
Haven’t missed an appointment in 16 years!

Wanted to give Marcus Woodson and Travis Williams the credit they deserve. Defense Ypg down to 339 versus 465 last year. PPG down to 25 as opposed to 30.6 last year.

I think they’ve looked good until they are tired after we done nothing on those long drawn out plays Enos calls.

Listened to a podcast and they said it feels like KJ and Rocket are being wasted. I agree, the last time I felt this was Knile Davis and Tyler Wilson’s senior year.

Our defense was historically bad last year, especially in terms of YPG and big plays, so there was nowhere to go but up.
We were 101st in scoring defense, 131st in passing YPG, 94th in rushing YPG, and 131st in big plays (we gave up over 90).
We thought the Chad defenses were awful. Last year was absolutely historic.

KJ and Rocket are square pegs in round holes in this offense.
KJ is better suited for an overly simplistic, one read Baylor offense, and Rocket runs better in a Briles gap scheme finesse system that doesn’t rely on backs getting YAC.
Neither are suited for Enos’s offense at all, and it’s an indictment of Enos that he hasn’t tailored his system to fit his personnel and has instead committed the cardinal sin of forcing his personnel into his system.

I watched something fairly humbling today.
No,no, not a video of the last time I had sex.
Nope, I watched a replay of Army vs UTSA. Now Army is thunderously average at best this year, and playing a tougher schedule than usual so I will be surprised if they make a bowl game... and they switched to a pistol/spread base. Rule changes as regards blocking have put the kibosh on the flexbone they think.
Why was this game humbling? Army, running out of the shotgun, with an undersized OLine, was routinely picking up 3rd and 1 and 4th and 1. And doing so like they expected to do it. Like they were thrilled to be in that situation.
Sure, Army is a running team, and yada yada, and it was against UTSA... but UTSA probably has more talent than Army. Against what looks to be a very dangerous Syracuse Army lost, but went 3/4 on 4th downs.
When was the last time you felt confident about Arkansas going for it on 3rd and short? Or 4th and short? Whether it was Briles or Enos as the OC? Or Chaney?

quote:exactly. Not getting 3rd or 4th and 1s isn’t a talent issue, no matter what people on here will say. It’s a coaching and effort issue.
