Arkansas total offense

#13 in the nation

Question: Kendal Briles for a true Head Coach in Waiting deal? ...say 2026?

If I'm Pittboss, I would jump at that. He will be 61 next month, thus he'll be 64 in November of 2025

Kendal is 40 next month - screw him having to "prove himself" at a G5

We could be the defining meaning of what Head Coach in Waiting means

I’ve been saying that but there’s still a lot of people that hate briles and want him canned.

He won’t be here within a year or two…
And I would bet our OC will be Lunney and probably our next HC.

I had come to grips with the notion he'd be gone after this year. I just couldn't envision a world where he wasn't lured away to be the head man somewhere.

I would take Briles over Lunney as HC if those were the only choices. I don't understand the love for Lunney when he hasn't proven anything except being fired at multiple stops.

Arkansas can do better than that.

Idk. I think he will leave for a P5, which idk if one comes open and looks for him. Maybe West Virginia but who knows if he can recruit that area.

Where was he fired?
He was retained by every coach. Apparently Sam offered him a position coach job.

He left utsa for Illinois.

Sam isn't leaving unless it is retirement. I said in the past that he is a year five coach and hangs it up. But that could change and I never saw him as a long term solution at his age. He was a desperate hire because no one else wanted this job bad enough like he did.

I have only said he was a 5ish year coach.
He would be like a Houston Nutt rah rah reunite the fan base after the last two shite bags.
Then he would retire or be fired and have a stocked team for an actual good coach.

I’d be fine with briles being our next HC if he takes over after sam retires. Would be nice continuity for the program

KJ is getting better with his intermediate passes, I still think to play at the next level he will have to be a tight end. He is like Gronk/Kielce/Wittle size.

5 Jalen Mayden/SDSU 93.5
6 Drake Maye/UNC 93.4
7 Will Howard/KSU 92.1
8 Taylen Green/BOISE 90.8
9 Jordan Travis/FSU 90.4
10 Hendon Hooker/TENN 89.9

I think some of our own fans won't like that. They don't want to be proven wrong, even if that means your team is doing good.

Ketron Jackson has half as many yards in 1/3 as many catches as Haselwood.

He is going to be a good one.

Rocket vs McFadden
quote:

Darren McFadden, 2007: 153.4 ypg on 5.8 per touch

Rocket Sanders, 2022: 154.5 ypg on 7.2 per touch

Take away from me, Rocket should win the Doak Walker award.
Heisman is no longer for Running Backs.
McFadden with any passing attack would have set records never to be beat.

He isn't rah rah like Nutt was, he was goofy and Sam is the exact opposite of Nutt during practices.

Haselwood frustrates me. Just doesn't run north/south or protect the ball well
