No one at that time would have agreed with you.

I seriously doubt Crockett would do any better behind this craptastic OL

Exactly. The difference in performance isn't enough that I'm going to lose sleep over it. Crockett isn't having that great of a season so far, really. Under 50 yards per game and 4 yards per carry.

Bert had me thinking we had a Heisman winner the way he touted him.

I always felt like we should have took them both. You should take every SEC caliber athlete from the state and then figure out where to play them once you get them on campus.

Most kids will do anything they can to get on the field instead of sitting on the sideline. Even if it means changing positions.

Devin White at LSU was recruited to be a RB. (Not saying either is Devin White, just an example) I'm sure he was told, you can sit buried on the depth chart behind Fournette and Guice, or you can come play LB and see the field. Now he's probably the best linebacker in the country.

Yeah. At the time I understood why we didn't sign him, I mean we seemed loaded at RB. Then it became obvious we weren't.

Whether with the previous staff or the current staff Whaley just has not been able to get it in gear. I'm fairly sure that unless he has a monster game soon he's going to be the guy we put in to spell Boyd when we don't want to waste TJ Hammond.

I don't understand the criticism for Whaley. He's not that fast, but he's tough between the tackles. He's not Dmac, but he's still a very good RB.

I guess for as high as he was rated, he's been a little underwhelming. He doesn't really suck at anything, but he's not elite in any one area either.

Interested to see how Boyd does with more of a workload this weekend.
