I'm a Muss fan.
Fact is, he inherited a team with 2 NBA players and nothing else. They left. He brought in one of the highest classes we've ever signed, but they are freshmen and all but one of them plays like freshmen (VERY talented freshmen...but still green). He went and signed the best players in the transfer portal and made us a serviceable team...but none of those guys were or ever will be stars. They are there to get us by until the young guys get experience...which they will. He missed with Vanover it appears, but I can't find much fault in trying to get some muscle on a 7'3'' kid who has decent hands and can shoot a little.
We got pushed around and beat up by a couple teams that are way more physical than we are, but if we make the point blank shots we're missing, those games are competitive.

I didn't realize how many coaching experts we actually had on here. Pretty impressive.
Either that or a bunch of ya'll need a lot more to do than pick at a guy who is recruiting very well and has a great reputation everywhere but your living room.
And I'll repeat my belief that we have the best coaches across all sports of any university in the country.

on 2/14/21 at 4:15 pm to RzrbackguyYeah at this point I don't give a shite what antics Muss does or doesn't do. He's my guy. Best halftime adjustments I've ever seen in a razorback coach. Obvious prep for each game that you can SEE the impact of his coaching on the game. I love that crazy SOB.

Muss has out recruited MA, is a heckuva coach, but needs something more for gamedays. Not sure what is missing yet.

For instance, I thought he made a huge error in playing "stall ball" late against Kentucky, and it almost cost us the game.
Likewise, yesterday he almost let their point guard Pinson beat us single handedly. Once Pinson got his 4th foul, Muss should have put the player he was guarding on the block and went after him to get the 5th foul. He was by far their best player and a 90% free throw shooter.
Now granted, these are definitely personal coaching philosophy gripes that I have with him. Despite these complaints, they won both games. Just playing Devils Advocate here. But I am definitely happy with Muss overall.

Those feelings were valid. The team was totally rudderless and Muss was just throwing his hands up on the sideline.
He’s still unproven here. We barely beat a terrible Kentucky team and then barely beat Missouri who was missing their best player that ate our lunch in the first game. Probably still best to wait and see. Muss taking his shirt off won’t get us to the sweet 16.
