It was a legacy of Jeff Long and Bert and is basically a picture of Bert's face.

Jordan gear would be dope, but I’m not sure we’re big enough for that. If we could get the track and field team on board with it...maybe.

Lots of question to be answered by Morris for the football team. What are his thoughts on white cleats vs black. I’m hoping we go back to the sweet red/white cleats. They look so much better with our uniforms.
Also, he got into the different uniform color combos and helmets at SMU. Is he planning on doing that here? Is he going to refresh the uniforms. He took SMU back to a traditional look so perhaps he’ll do that here as well.

We're stuck with pepsi until 2022 I think. It was a 10 yr contract that the Yankee got us stuck in.
Pumba hog on the other hand, I pray we burn every item that he is found on and never speak of him again.

thought I read here jeff had little to no input on us getting pepsi, it was more of the higher ups doings.

I think you're right. Iirc it was also stated that the Pepsi contract was WAY above and beyond what the other dudes were offering.
I've never understood why so many people have an issue with this. We shouldn't be drinking soda at all, to be honest. That shite is poison. I mean, I drink it myself, but I shouldn't. I couldn't care less what brand they wanna roll with. I feel like an idiot every time I put that goldeny goodness of mountain dew to my lips.

Hoping like hell that he does. We need to go back to a traditional, clean uniform look, stop messing with it every 2-4 years, and stop whoring our brand standards out to apparel companies.
I used to shite all over Adidas, but I like what they did in returning Nike to a traditional look. I honestly wish we’d go to Jordan or Under Armour.

Agreed. It was ugly bullshite conjured up by Nike for their schools as an excuse to sell more merchandise. You know that red golf shirt you like - guess what, we’ve now got a Pumba Hog version!
I like Nike and was excited when we made the move back to them in 2010, but their fan apparel has been trash the last few years. I look at stuff like the white whindbreaker hoodie with the enormous Pumba Hog logo on it and think “who the hell thought this looked good?”

It was.
I’m no Jeff Long apologist by any stretch of the imagination, but the Pepsi thing was a campus-wide exclusivity deal cut by the UA administration.
Long deserves shite for many things that occurred during his tenure, but that’s not one of them.
