J Doc has a massive disgust for the kid evidently.

I don't think he was bad today, and remembering the Auburn game last year, I thought he showed some moxie, and ability.

Not sure why he seems to think KJ is absolutely terrible!???

It’s super odd because he’s the biggest State homer on this board.

He’s an idiot. I’ll admit I only watched the 1st qtr but KJ looked dang good. Checked down well quickly and scrambled when he needed to. Had a nice throw off his back foot to Burks.

I was impressed with KJ's passing today. Once KB and Pittman take the leash off and let him run, he could be scary.

I liked what I saw.

He didn't look confused on any play. Gave his receivers opportunities to make plays.

It would really benefit him if we got one of our tight ends to step up. That and Trey Knox making some plays every now and then.

Davion, Treylon, and Woods will give defenses some problems.

One thing to remember is this was probably vanilla compared to what we will see in season. The fact we seemed to have one issue pop up again and again (short yardage) is hopefully a good thing because it shows what we have to fix. Although again in season we may have more advanced shite we can go too to get a yard if need be. I agree we need a tight end to step up I feel like they want Hudson to be the guy but you’d think he’d show it by now. And honestly kern looked solid last year if he develops a little more he could be alright

I like what I saw fron KJ, but he also should have been sacked on a couple of plays, so who knows. Those receivers are legit, though.

Also, did it look to anyone else that the Oline is still not getting much push? Seemed the short yardage run game is still going to be hugely difficult.

The strong suit of our Defense last year was short yardage situations. The fact that they did it again in the spring game isn't something that surprises or worries me.

Remember the Bert years when if they had 3rd and less than 3 and it might as well have been a first down? We would be praying they wouldn't have the balls to go for it on fourth because they would make it every time.

and vice versa even though bert was a, “power run guy” we could never get short yardages it seems like lol

Yeah I assumed Jonathan Marshall was a big reason we were good on short yardage defense last year but maybe it’s something with the scheme. Having Catalon and Morgan selling out against the run helps too.

Didn't Georgia have a big goal line failure like that once, too, or am I just imagining that?
