Auburn shot over 60% from the field, including 15-23 (65.2%) from the 3 pt line.

That couldn't possibly have anything to do with the pathetic defense this team plays

If it was just one game I'd shrug it off but Auburn isn't the first usually toothless team to light us up.

So glad I didn't waste my time watching this game or the rest of this season. I bailed last week, and I'll continue to have bailed. I'm not sure I'll come back next year at all, unless they just come out of the gates impressing.

I was a HUGE Mike Anderson fan. I know the Watkins family fairly well, so I've been rooting for Manny and his father. I'm no longer positive about the direction of this program. I feel like the game of basketball (1 and done, awful officiating against defense, selfish players) has passed MA and the Nolan lineage up. This has been a failure, and I have zero expectations that it will succeed (contrasted with my feelings about our football program, which I feel like is paving a remarkable, unique path toward success). It's a shame, because I've been rooting for MA. I think he's a great person, and I sincerely hoped we would succeed. But we are headed in the wrong direction.

So based on the last few pages, Mike's seat isn't just hot, there's smoke coming from it.

pitchforks and torches always come out with a bad loss. By our next win people will be excited about the jucos and ready to give anderson another half a decade to make the ncaa tournament.

This phrase here seals the argument for me. No program should be looking to jucos for excitement. Mike has sunk this ship, who cares which way he turns the wheel of the titanic on the bottom of the ocean floor

So a win against a shitty Mizzou team gets our hopes up?

Next season is going to decide his future. The team needs to be significantly better and Mike has to land at least two of Vanover, Henderson, and Perry.

Just wait and see. That's if we win. This auburn team was not good and was injury ridden. If we can't beat them at home we're in worse shape than I thought.

Tournament or bust in 2017. I wish every that at public appearance Mike has a fan would ask him to step down if he doesn't make the 2017 tournament. He shouldn't be fired. He should quit. Z

True enough.

Let's recognize too that the game is not the same as when Nolan was coaching, not even close. You can't play that kind of defense anymore. Everybody would be fouled out before the first half was over.

We are in terrible shape. How many players do we have that the rest of the SEC would want?

2 maybe 3? Yet, we play 9 guys...6 of which have no business playing P5 basketball...but they fit his system...

"Fit his system" is the excuse for, Mike can't recruit.

Our offensive and defensive philosophy is shite. I hear constantly from Mike and the players that their goal is to take more shots than their opponents.

The problem is that our opponents are taking quality shots (or left open for layups after busted press or double team) while we're having to work hard for even a halfway decent shot.

It doesn't matter if you steal the ball on one possession if you're just going to force a stupid shot and give up an easy dunk at the other end.

Mikes "system" makes an average player work even harder and exhaust more energy during a game.

Watching our game, then flipping over to Duke/UNC last night was night and day. Both of those teams score, but they control their game. They run, but they play defense. They get fast break points, but they run an offense.

On a few occasions last night, Arkansas had four guys in a corner on offense with the ball at the top of the key. It was like they were having an argument over who was setting a screen for who. Terrible.

If only Dale were here to explain the ins and outs of Mikes offensive system...

Man, you just can't be a bad recruiter and a bad game strategist. You can be one or the other, but not both. And you just CAN-NOT lose in-state players like K Allen. Monk, I get it, perhaps the biggest recruit in the history of our state - in any sport - too many bright lights - it's actually more acceptable to me to lose him than Allen. Either way, Mike hasnt one redeeming quality for me right now. And now his players are quitting which is a bad thing - maybe the worst. I did notice also that only 3-4 of the 20 or so high rolling donor courtside seats were filled last night. Not good.
