I know overall #1 seeds are cursed, but I just don't see how any team beats his squad in a 3-game series. I could be wrong, but it's not going to be a good look good if Arkansas and Van Horn get knocked out in the Regionals and Tony goes on to win a national title in only his 5th or 6th year at a program with no real history or facilities.

You can say a lot of things about Vitello and his teams, but they definetly don't lacking condidence and edge and aren't inevitably waiting for the rug to be pulled out from under them like teams and fanbase I know.

If dude could build a monster at Tennessee, just think what he could do at Arkansas, with all its support and money and infrastructure.

I mean we looked damn near identical last year, albeit not quite as deep pitching wise, but they still don’t have anyone who was performing like kopps was. All it takes is one weekend where they go cold at the plate and bam season over

Each season there is a overwhelming favorite to win the title. Arkansas last year, others before. Each year since many, many moons ago Miami squad, they have failed.

It’s baseball and anything can happen. While TV and the Vols have had a great season, nothing to this point matters. FSU once won 50+ games in 12 consecutive seasons and never won a title.

Not that I disagree with what you are saying - BUT, they already lost a 3 game series this year. To Kentucky, no less.

100%

They’ve proven they can basically lose to anyone. Kentucky was not a very good team this season.

But is it more real than the Arkansas curse?

It’s the most Arkansas thing ever to have 18 happen and then an assistant go and win it all at TN.

“How can you say that?!? It’s only been 5 years and we almost had it.”. You’re just stupid if you don’t get that (sarc). It would definitely be the most Arkansas thing for that to happen.

Curse? Nah just proves what we all knew. Vitello was a fantastic coach.

A lot of people don't like Vitello, but there is no way to argue against the results he's getting on the field.

When DVH hangs up his spikes, I'll be all for the first call being to Vitello.

What has DVH done to guarantee he decides when he is done here?

Frank Broyles has been the last coach afforded that luxury and even he felt the pressure to call it a coaching career after the 69 Texas loss led to a decline over all for the program.

Wes Johnson for me. Vitello wouldn't take it I don't believe and Wes would.

Those black and orange frickers have more swagger than Sully's white Oakley's in a New Iberia bar on a Saturday night.

Translation: I don't know man, those frickers are really good and I don't see them not winning it all.

Funny thing is, lot of people are picking Tenn over Oregon State specifically.

Be hilarious the team we lost to is who they beat for their title.

Or even more hilarious they also lost to them, and in some dramatic fashion.
