How many more years do you give Anderson to get over the hump. The early 90s are long gone. None of the kids we recruit today can remember when we made it to the round of 16. I like mike but eventually do we have to pull the plug?

No point in discussing with recent extension.

He’s here until he doesn’t want to be anymore.

This is new and fresh. They just extended him a few years too.

Most dingleberries on this board think the 2nd round is the program's ceiling. For someone who stood in Barnhill back then, it is disheartening to read.

Yea I've been convinced that this is as good as Arkansas basketball can be and we should be happy making a run at the round of 32 every couple years. So how many years to get over the hump? He's already over it. Give that man a lifetime contract and play-calling duties for the football team while we're at it.

Where do you think St John's ceiling is?

Luckily it's highly doubtful that we'll have to worry about that scenario.

Well duh- 90% of us have said that since last year - however when the extension has been signed it's all sort of a moot point at the time.

we won't make the second round. the other thread showed me that the recipe to beat us is clear. no way anyone in the tournament would lose to us in it or in any game left this season. shite is bleak man.

Not that I think a 2nd round exit is the program's ceiling, but I'm not going to be upset with a 2nd round upset. I think the program should be expected to win 65-70% of its games (Nolan's win percentage at Arkansas). That's averages out to about 23-10 or 21-13 at the low end. I think that's a reasonable mark to hit, and I don't think we're at the point where we can afford to pull the plug on a coach that's doing that.

I'm not as concerned about NCAA tournament performance (not that I don't care) because some of that is hitting a hot streak at the right team or sometimes highly ranked teams get bounced early.
