by your logic, Saban should be fired because he failed in Miami

By your logic we shouldn’t have hired Petrino in the first place because of his record with the Falcons.

.....Except he was successful at building Louisville into a national power prior to taking the NFL job. Youre making this too easy.

On that note, we know that most guys who are successful in college fail in the NFL (Saban, Petrino, Spurrier, etc)....maybe the inverse is true??

If so, Chaggie would win the Super Bowl in his first year! Somebody call Jurrah Jones to get his boy down there ASAP!!

And Saban was successful at LSU before Miami, so which is it? You can’t even keep your stupid fricking arguments straight.

But yeah, Petrino flopping at Louisville pretty much kills your argument. The game passed him by, yes he was an offensive genius 7 years ago, not any more. Guys like him are a dime a dozen. And he’s a shitty recruiter. And his players hate him. But bring him back!!!!1

Bringing that man back would be an unmitigated disaster. The idea anyone would even entertain that thought is proof of how desperate this fan base is getting.

Morris will be out sooner than later if he can't turn a corner. If that time comes, I'm not sure my fanhood could survive rehiring Bobby Petrino.

Lol. Hey, if licking windows is your hobby who am I to tell you otherwise.

Here's hoping that they get Brohm, Norvell, Campbell or any other number of good up-and-coming coaches (all of which were options 2 years ago, btw) when Chaggie finishes flopping around.

Brohm went 6-7 last year and lost to Nevada a few weeks ago. Campbell is 20-19 at ISU and barely escaped losing to Northern Iowa a few weeks ago.

I know both have better records than we do but would our fans really be satisfied with that? We play harder schedules than either one.

Do not bring facts up in a perfectly good rant thread.

Is it true Mike Norvell has never won a bowl game?

And Chad has never beat Norvell, what's your point?

Season before the team they inherited:

SMU: 1-11
Memphis: 9-3

Good thing Norvell had a better predecessor

None of their games against each other were close. Stop blaming everyone but Chad for his failures. He's a big boy, he can take criticism.

Lol nice deflection. Seriously though sign me up for a coach who hasn’t won a bowl game and losses include WKU, Iowa St and Wake Forest. Shoot for the stars!

And I’m not blaming anyone I’m just shooting down the notion that Norvell is some sort of program savior. Keep up.

You only brought up the first time Chad lost to Norvell. He lost to him every year.

Well you're insulting Norvell for never winning a bowl game, while Chad has never even coached a bowl game, or beat Norvell. It's a little odd.

I hope Arkansas wins. Stop being so sensitive about message board comments. Go spend some time with your family and think about what's important.

So, being bowl eligible at Purdue...PURDUE...and being ranked in the Top 25 while at Iowa State....IOWA STATE...is worse than our coach who has never beat a Power 5 school in his life? Much less an SEC team. Okay.

They would be happy with it compared to what we have now.

Ignoring the fact SMU made a bowl in his last year, he just didn't coach it because he was busy recruiting for us.

Never change, Stone.
