I'd kill for a classic Nutt 9-4 season right about now...what about you?

Nope nope nope, still can't bring myself to this. HDN was a dork with NO redeeming qualities whatsoever, at least CBB has a personality and off-field success with his teams. Nutt was scum and a much shittier person than the average fan realizes.

Eta- are people not paying attention to the ridiculous OM lawsuit that he's been pursuing? If it weren't hilarious because it's happening to that bunch, more people would truly realize how petty he's being. He's acting like OM saying that some of their infractions happened during his tenure (which is true) is what kept him out of a job for this long.

I got news for ya buddy, when you're a former SEC coach and can't even land a job with a Sunbelt/CUSA team that's desperate, there's something toxic in the air surrounding you.

I absolutely loathe Nutt, but he's definitely a better coach than Bert.

However, I don't want either of those clowns near my football program.

Like Bill Parcells said, at a certain point you are what your record says you are. At least Nutt could get his team up occasionally for a game. I'd kill for one of Nutt's 8-4 SEC seasons right now, but that doesn't mean I want him anywhere near our program.

Frick you for making me talk up Houston fricking Nutt.

I hate Nutt, but he would have Cole Kelly at QB running zone read. He'd have TJ Hammonds running Wildcat. He'd have our running backs looking like stars. And he'd have stomped a mud hole in AM today.

Cant do it... No Nutt around our program ever again. I worked with the douche in some fundraising campaigns and it was absolutely miserable.

CBB is twice the man (literal and figurative) that Nutt was/is....

now as a coach... Hell, I still don't want nutt

Preach Reverend, preach.

The sad thing is... this would be one of those years that Nutt gets another two or three years on his contract. The SEC as a whole is down. No one would bat an eye at a loss to Bama.

Its the classic win 8-9 games in the regular season and get beat in a bowl game year that Nutt cranked out from time to time to extend his stay here.

We are in danger of matching the futility of the early 90's but without the miracle trip to the SEC Championship game. But for that stretch of misery this would be the worst run for Arkansas over a 5-6 year period since the mid 50's.

I don't know how I feel about this. I genuinely hated Nutt by the time he finally left. I don't hate Bert, he's just a joke

Also, I waited on Nutt when I was in college, he tipped under 10% on a $100 + meal and I wasn't a shitty waiter. frick that guy

I donated to plane flights to get Nutt out but yes at this point I'd rather have the Nuttster than Fatbert.

I have a feeling that Nutt would have gotten eaten alive in today's SEC and that his record would look a lot more like his last two years at Ole Miss.

You realize Nutt's Ole Miss record is almost identical to Fatty's here? Nutt went 10-22 in SEC games at Ole Miss. Fatty is 10-23 a game into year five. Keep in mind Nutt compiled that record against the 2010 and 2011 SEC West which is vastly superior to the division today. And people are discussing the possibility of Fat arse returning for next season? What in the actual frick?

Nope. He can't even go the "better person" route.

We waited too long to can Nutt and the MSM just hope we aren't forced into the same situation by Bert's contract.

I'm talking about his last two years after the talent he inherited started to cycle out and he went 1-15 in the SEC.

And I want Bert gone yesterday, that's not what I'm getting at here.

Preach son.

And he'd at least have some studs on defense. Sure we wouldn't be cohesive at all and probably have zero gameplan but he always found a way to land 2-3 game changers each year.

Any that Bert has had are Petrino guys and are now tearing up the NFL.

One thing about Nutt, our teams weren't soft like we have been under Bert. Even if you were far superior to us, you knew you were in for a physical fight
