The worst part is this was a down year for a lot of other teams: OM, State, A&M, Mizzou.

That is the worst part of all of this, well other than watching the actual games. This year's schedule set up even better than we thought it would. The OOC schedule wasn't super difficult and most of our SEC foes were having a down year.

A decent coach sleep walks to a 7-5 record this year and 8 wins with this schedule wouldn't have been too far of a stretch. Instead we got blown out by Western Kentucky.

I don't hate Chad Morris, but this was the worst coaching job in the history of Arkansas football and we've had some stinkers as HC over the years.

It always seems like we're bad when the schedule sets up nicely, and good when the schedule is a murderers row.

Imagine the 2014 team (and staff) playing against this schedule as opposed to having to do what they did and play 8 ranked teams, 6 of which were in the top 10. That was also the year we drew Georgia from the East to go along with a top 20 Mizzou team that played in the SECCG. Oh yeah, and Texas Tech in Lubbock.

But alas, we went 2-10 in the two years where we drew Vandy and UK from the East and didn't play a single OOC game against a P5 team.

And a UK team starting a WR as their QB. That is what grieves me the most. We knew, we knew, what they were going to do and they still beat us.

So he is a bullshitter who tells fans what we want to hear

"I've got to get this hire right"

Blah blah blah. Another mountebank. And the mouth breathers lap it up, even though they admit he is a bullshitter

all we had to do was contain the QB and force him to throw. the offense wasnt there to force the throwing snd defense didnt contain. it was a really really bad coaching job. atleast equal to sjsu bad

Keep downvoting me you dumb sons of bitches. He is just spewing pleasantries and shucking and jiving his way through this nightmare. The proof will be in the hire and the hire's actual results. You admitted he was bullshitting in this very thread!

Some of you will suck his dick no matter who we hire and demand 5 years for coach. We've proven that recently. Some of yall really like that wool over your eyes

You're a moron that doesn't understand context or nuance and apparently suffers from bouts of delusion. Do you even read what anyone else posts around here or are you too busy melting for no reason (other than failing reading comprehension)?

HY even explained it in the presser (he was asked about losses being cause for firing), in summary he believes in it and is for it, but he and Arkansas can't pioneer it on their own, if other universities embraced it would become a thing.

Thanks captain obvious

Why is he pontificating about this shite if he isn't going to do anything about it? Or did he think he was going to do something about it, then ran into a buzzsaw??

This is what he said

quote:

To me, losing football games is being terminated with cause. The protection sometimes that coaches are provided within their contracts to me is ludicrous. I want to be a leader in this industry in how we write our coaches contracts moving forward so that there’s not 100 percent guaranteed protection for their contracts

So by his own admission, he isn't exhibiting leadership and is doing something "ludicrous". This line got him national attention when he said it, it wasn't just a throwaway phrase. But now he is just a plastic bag in the wind, can't do anything about it. Was he clueless when we hired him?

What are his thoughts on the New START treaty or the IMO 2020 regulations? These are things he is just as powerless to change. Why not spout off about some of these things, take a "leadership" role. Hell people love it when a coach goes off on tangents

He literally answered you questions in the presser this thread is about.

I could explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.
