The problem with baseball over the last 20 years or so is that very few players are willing to change their approach depending on the situation and count... They swing for the fences no matter what

I don't recall aTm swinging for the fences and beating us.

Looked like solid base knocks to me..

Go back to being BoarEd, your lack of baseball knowledge is showing.

The last time we won. 44 strikeouts this weekend.

Look, I'm not really complaining about this team. They have some serious talent. They cleaned up their fielding a lot from last season's team. They were also a much better road team. Without looking up stats, we seemed to be better running the bases and at stealing the bases. I also enjoy seeing how aggressive Opitz is throwing out runners. We are a fun team to watch.

Last years team is day and night different that this one is some ways. This team is much more aggressive, or so it seems to me. There are way more people on this board that knows baseball better than I.

But just from what I see, that aggressiveness pays off most of the time, but doesn't and get us behind the 8 ball on others.

We are a great team... When we are on, nobody can beat us. I truly believe that. But we do have a weakness for leftys and our bullpen isn't as strong as we possibly need.

Yep. All about those advanced metrics now. K's are up across the board in the MLB too.

Not a cohesive unit like last years more mature players were. Fletcher thinks he's Mickey Mantle, Jr, Kjerstad is about as mentally mature as my 8 year old granddaughter and Casey Martin constantly looks like he's got a red poker stuck up his butt. The guys who should be leading by example are sucking sugar tits and have for a while. Van Horn had better get this talented team straightened out because I'm going to launch into low Earth orbit if Kjerstad rolls over another pitch hitting it meekly to the second baseman.

The Jason Heyward classic. Infuriating to watch happen 1,000 times.

I do really hope we can win tomorrow just to put us in a regional type situation pitching wise here we've used multiple arms over multiple days. We're due for about a 14-10 win.

Not sure why we didn't pinch hit for Nesbit today. Despite what Dave has said recently, he obviously doesn't give a single frick about the SEC tournament. Also took Campbell out early when he hadn't given up a run. Either try to win, or just quit and get ready for the regional, don't pretend to care about winning this tournament if you don't care about it.

I think we pound Ole Miss, they have been playing since Tuesday, bats alone should be able to carry.

Can probably outhit UGA Saturday too.

Maybe I should lower my expectations but nah.

I'm so sick of this excuse from us. It's not like any of the other teams give a shite about it either. No one but LSU and Missouri of the 12 teams in this had a single thing to play for. We need to quit acting like we're the only one who doesn't give a shite about this tourney. Because other teams don't care either, and they somehow manage to win it

Do you think Vandy went in planning to burn through pitching at all costs to win the SECt? Is UGA planning to put it all on the line to post that "2019" on the outfield wall?

I hear ya man, I was watching yesterday and just felt like the whole thing was totally pointless. Like what is the point of the SEC tournament?

This is why I'm not sure why some getting so negative after the last game. There are obvious issues with our bullpen and lack of hitting lately but there about 5 different things that I believe would have changed had this actually been a legit regional.

We have thrown 8 pitchers in 2 games. Does that happen if DVH isn't pulling some early and trying to make sure others get a chance to throw?

was out doing lawn work yesterday and didn't watch the game. Which is unusual, but company coming and I have a bunch to mow, weedeat, spray, etc.

Anywho… I agree. I went back and watched some last night, and saw the game Wed He really doesn't put out much effort to win overall, concerning this tournament.
