This scoop is trash. Love the part where it said Arkansas is looking for the next coach to have "deep ties" then names Gary Patterson, admitting he's from Kansas...basically with zero ties to Arkansas. Did Les Miles right this up?

The absolute only possibility of this happening at all is as a fall guy type situation for an AD to turn a blind eye in what’s about to happen in recruiting.

I know the guy, he's an Ole Miss homer. He doesn't have high placed sources anywhere, he knows a lot of assistants and lower level college coaches. He also monitors message boards for info.

I think that if there's any possibility we could land Gary Patterson we should jump at that opportunity.
One of the very best coaches in the country, and while he doesn't have ties to Arkansas that I am aware of, he could very easily reestablish our Texas recruiting ties. Which is our bread and butter traditionally.
Also, Patterson isn't opposed to the idea of leaving TCU either. Or well, he has interviewed for several positions since becoming the coach there.
