Was one of our only players willing to play and foul hard.
He's been a lot better and one of our better overall defenders.
UK just has 4 guys his size that are quicker and more skilled.

Yup- and I'm just gonna add this here because I was tempted to do it last night but I didn't want to start a war with the KY fans- I've kinda grown to like some of them.
But Cal makes me almost want to dip just so I could spit some Beechnut in that dudes eye. I can't stand that mother son of a fart face. People can say he's such a good coach- I won't even argue, I still despise the man. I just wanna wipe that sleazy face with my fist o fury.

You're a great fan, and I suspect you have been for life. That's why it makes me so sad to see our fans become numb to mediocrity. Tis the very definition of apathy, which will certainly leave Arkansans with not much to root for athletically.

Mikes lack of a rotation got to us in the second half. Macon and Barford were dragging while CJ was on the bench watching and MA just let them suffer. Also, am I the only one baffled by how many minutes Trey Thompson plays? He reminds me of an old man with his effort if he's on the floor more than 2 minutes at a time. Yet Adrio sits and watches.
I don't get Mikes rotation at all..... makes no sense.
Clearly Cook is in the doghouse but Adrio needs more minutes and Mike refuses to play him.
I'm not a MA hater or apologist.... just call it like I see it.
And last night coaching got us beat as much as anything.
He allows the refs to screw us because he won't stand up to them. Boys.... he AIN'T gonna get us to a Final Four.

I do understand what you mean- I really do. I don't even know what else to say- I don't think Mike is the way to get us back to where we want to be but I have no decision making. He's not horrible but not great. :(
I will say this tho - I'll never feel like we couldn't be elite. There's no reason why we can't in basketball. Just got to get the right coach and have a little luck to get the ball rolling and then go from there.

CJ couldn't hit water if he fell out of a boat last night. He didn't record a stat. He does that a lot. There isn't a coach in the country that would sit Macon or Barford for CJ Jones. Barford had a bad night and still had 12 points. Macon was dragging? He had 26 points. Compare that to CJ who had zero points, zero assists, zero rebounds, etc.
Adrio had the flu last week and lost 10-15 pounds. He's nowhere near 100%.

I'm not sure that you really pay close attention if this is what you come up with while watching the games. Maybe you watch on mute?

No I get it. CJ is a flow player... if you don't get him into the flow of the game early he can't help you.... Mike has been really bad understanding that.
I know Barford and Macon have to log a lot of minutes for us to win.... but we do it in stupid ways at times.
When you know you are thin at guard you've got to play more 2 guard looks. Can't run a 3 guard offense for 30 minutes a game when you only have 3 healthy guards. Common sense tells you that.

I am old enough to vividly remember our old SWC days. Our basketball and football programs are dog schit, compared to those days. I've just accepted that's who we are.
Petrino gave me hope, and vigor. I thought we were on our way back, but then the wreck occurred. That seriously knocked the wind out of my sails. I have still yet to recover, and consider our program overall to be snakebit.
With all of that said, I'll sit my happy arse in my season ticket bought seats at Baum and enjoy the hell out what DVH has done/is doing in the toughest baseball conference in America.
I'm hoping tChad can bring back some pride to our football program.

Trey hasn't been that bad either. He's not going to light anyone up but he does a lot of little things well.

This was our best chance to beat Kentucky in a while. We couldn't deliver. Disappointed.
