Losing Hall is a bad thing regardless of whether you are pro or anti Mike. Kid is athletic, plays hard and would be coachable if there were any coaches in his zip code. For his sake, let's hope he goes somewhere where they'll work on his jump shot. If he isn't the 'prototype Mike Anderson player' then there isn't one.

CJ...well...he's just not a D1 player.

I like the freshmen coming in and i"m just holding my breath that Gafford doesn't change his mind now.

This

Not sure why Hall would transfer. He now has to sit out a year. He would have probably been a starter here next year. Very odd.

Memphis gets the benefit of him sitting out a year because now he can develop. He was always going to be an upperclassman type and now Memphis gets to add another year to his development.

So this is what 9 transfers in 7 years?

This is getting stupid. I'm not freaking about but this kind of defection is a seriously poor reflection on leadership.

No it doesn't. It's painful sometimes but the good moments far outweigh the bad.

I disagree. But that's what makes the good moments that much better.

So do we know for sure Hall is going to Memphis?
Seems to me that would be an instant red flag given Penny was his AAU coach.

I'm not going to melt over losing these two....
I'm going to melt over HOW MANY players have left Mike's program and been BETTER at their next stop.
JaCorey and Whitt come to mind instantly.

Except we haven't had any good moments with Mike. Mike getting an extension is a fricking joke. He has hit his ceiling here.

This is not a joke: Hall didn't know you have to sit out a year if you transfer. He also thought he was a 1 and done and blamed the staff and lack of playing time for that not happening.

Per my sources (Legit AF) Mike was going to get a 5 year extension from Jeff before he got canned, Mike tried to get the same deal from Yurachek but was told he'd only go 2 years at this time. Apparently Mike was pissed, but let's be honest, exactly nobody is trying to hire Mike away from us now or ever. He'll be gone after we suck dick the next two years hopefully

I refuse to believe that even if Hall literally said that. I just don't want to believe a college basketball player could be that ignorant about the rules.

No one believes you.

He had high expectations and thought he deserved more but Mike’s rotations were never going to let that happen. Lack of defined roles with knee jerk substitutions and players not knowing the minutes they will get game to game is tough.

Obviously there was a fallen out between coach and player, Darious didn’t think he could trust him.
