Yes, the #1 player in the State and a 4 star versus the #4 and a mid 3 star. What a shocker that would be.

You are going to be sorely disappointed

One plays hard and has proven to be an SEC caliber defender. The other was routinely benched by his high school coach because he’s lazy and doesn’t like to play defense.

Not what the scouts say. I'll trust them and the coaching staff.

I'm just looking for the positives. IMHO this isn't that big of a loss, but still a big deal.

It's not, an above average defender with extremely limited offensive skills is a loss but definitely not major.

Anybody remember the game that cj Jones missed an open 3 with nobody within 15 feet and then started tying his shoes after the miss. Other team rebounds for an open layup.

The calls for Mike's job are going to get undeniably loud if we fail to make the tournament next season.

He'll get fired if we don't make the tournament next year with an NBA lottery pick and four 4 stars coming in.

Zero chance he'd be brought back.

Penny will be fired in 3 years after the NCAA busts him.

extremely limited offensive skills

That's a bit harsh, i don't think he could really show everything he could do with the limited action. Jacory Williams blowing up at Middle Tennessee hurt us.

It's not harsh... Hall was a good, not great defender, who couldn't finish offensively and likely would have shot around 20-25 percent from three. On top of all that, with the high energy came extremely stupid play.

Saying that, I wish he would stay because he could easily become a 12/8 guy in his upper-classman years.

He's unfortunately in that awkward spot where 6'6 is too small to play the 4, and he doesn't shoot well enough yet nor is he good enough offensively to play the 3.

But that's why he was a low rated recruit, all about potential and he definitely showed flashes.

We should definitely blame Penny for Mike recruiting Darius, right?

He's a 3 and proved it late in the season.

Maybe on defense... But his shooting and ball handling say otherwise, offensively.

Penny cut Darious from his AAU team once and has enough clout to get him to transfer a week after getting the Tigers HC job? Damn. That’s tough while Mike is fighting his bear.

Johnathan Holmes is now our only player on the roster that has made a three pointer.
