If the trunk of the Gus tree couldn't make it into the SEC, why do people think the branches would fair any better?

Yes, if HY is gone.

HY tried to handcuff Muss which is a reason Muss started looking for a way out. HY didn’t hire Cal, Tyson hired Cal and Cal does what he wants. HY will never be able to interfere or stear NIL money to the wrong place.

Maybe we can find a football coach with enough balls to put Hunter in the corner the same way cal has

Top 2 names to watch will be Kenny Dillingham and Rhett Lashlee.

Neither of those are excite me, and I don’t think they are great coaches (probably average), but they would be great for us considering how disgraceful our football program currently is. Average is the goal at this point

Then keep Petrino, we can do worse. Unless he will drive away donors, I'd rather have someone we know can compete. I can't think of anyone that would rival the Cal hire. But one of our big boosters may be buddies with someone we have no clue about. I like Petrino with Stoops as DC once Kentucky cans him.

Am I the only one who thinks Saban wouldn't be a home run in the NIL era? No chance at him but just saying.

Yes

Saban would go 9-3 at Arkansas every year. He is probably the only one other than Meyer or Cignetti or Lanning that could say that.

You are insane for being critical of Nick.

He's old, very wealthy and isn't going to put up with the bullshite. Need someone that's hungry and willing. Don't need anyone we have to convince to be here.

Saban would be the greatest coaching hire ever made at Arkansas.

Why would he want any part of this dumpster fire? There is no chance he's considering this.

We would have a better chance of hiring Urban Meyer than Saban.

You mf'er!! I didn't want to even mention the name. Didn't want to conjure it up. Nothing against Barry, but if that's the move then I'm done. Like for real done.

The exact kind of person that Arkansas needs, but I digress.

I could get behind that. Not gonna happen, but we can enjoy the festivities until we are ultimately disappointed with some bullshite hire.

I mean if we gave him a fortune to buy the best players...

He would dominate like he did prior to NIL

Nah we’re finally going to get Mike Gundy after many swing and misses over the last two decades.

The time is right this time.

That would actually be legit AF. I would be fully erect.

Stoops isnt good in the NIL era as a HC but he knows ball
