Realistically, I don't think we'll have a better choice given the timing, and Bobby elevated the program.
If the donors can contribute I'm all in on BMFP

I’m 100% on BMFP! Give him a decent support staff on defense and let him eat

Who is going to be Bobby’s DC is probably the only question.
Are there any DC’s out there kind of in the same boat as Bobby? In need of a redemption tour with something to prove?

Vinnie Sunseri and Robert Bala- Florida
Jim Knowles -Penn State
Travis Williams - Arkansas
Todd Gratham - Okie State
Sam Siefkes - Virginia Tech
Ikaika Malloe - UCLA
Bobby April/ Andy Thompson - Standford
Tony White - Florida State * Soon
DJ Durkin -Auburn * Soon
Robb Aikey - Oregon State
Tyson Summers - Colorado State
Steve Russ - UAB
Cherokee Valeria - Kent State
Not sure how CBP got along with Durkin at aggyland, but I'm sure he's going to be looking to take the Freeze anchor from his neck this offseason if they are smart enough to sit this one out.

Weren't we in this same damn position in the last coaching search?

Program was a disaster last time and other coaches also felt we didn’t give Chad enough time, crazy enough

I’d take him, i doubt he would volunteer for this abortion of a roster, when every school would pay him as much as us.

DJ Durkin -Auburn * Soon
His defense has looked good last few games.

The names in bold stand out to me as legit possibilities. Knowles would be ok also but IDK if he and Bobby have a connection or not.
I think
Sunseri or Durkin would be my 1 or 1a from this list.
There are probably other names out there that BP would have a chance to go get.
My pipe dream is LSU cuts ties with Kelly and Baker looks for a soft landing. We throw mad bank and a ton of NIL for his dudes.....
Yeah I know... it's early and I haven't had any coffee yet.

Mustain took off for greener pastures, his opinion is invalid

He was pushed out. Supposedly beat out Mark Sanchez but his dad being a Fire Chief had pull, that got him out of a rape charge or something.

Trying to figure out why he keeps saying "we."
He's really oversimplifying things. He did get more speed out on the field on defense by using the jack linebacker/safety hybrid position at a time when that was less common. But overall I wouldn't say our defense was faster back then. Our defensive line was significantly better though.
Mallet was the slowest QB ever. Wilson has average speed. Dennis Johnson didn't have much top end speed, he ran guys over. Greg Childs and Jarius Wright had average speed for their position. Even Joe Adams didn't run an impressive 40, he could make people miss though. DJ Williams had average speed for his position.
Honestly the only player that I would say contributed off of just pure speed would be Marquel Wade. Maybe Knile Davis but he also had pretty good size. Not exactly a scat back.
I really don't know how you look at that team and say we won just off of speed...

Greg was a freak. Without injury he’s a round 1 receiver

Yes but not because he was Tyreek Hill. He ran a 4.55 40

Their 40 times were always odd because those guys were never ran down from behind. That Joe Adams toss sweep against Auburn he looked like he ran a 4.2 40
