Sorry for the delay in commenting. I was getting prepared to go on CBS Sports to talk Ryan Silverfield and Arkansas, but they decided Florida and Auburn hires were way more interesting and decided last minute not to have me on. I can't say I blame them. I'd bump me too.
This is nothing against Ryan Silverfield. He wants the Arkansas head coaching job. Glad someone does... But it just shows how disconnected Arkansas is with their own fanbase.
There is literally not one single Hog fan I have seen who has expressed excitement on a day everyone was looking forward to since this started. I see angry, apathetic, sad, disbelief and laughter as a means of coping.
But should it be a surprise? As I have said many times, as you all good and well know, Arkansas has the worst football program in the SEC. So these are the kinds of decisions you get.
Arkansas needed to make a hire fans could rally behind, a hire that would lead to a groundswell of support, and this just is not what anybody had in mind. #wps

I don’t care about any heat, Golesh deal was in place and our media fricked it up, like usual. He got mad it leaked, nothing you can do about it now. Auburn came in and offered an extra year and 500k.

We went to the AState game this year and I won some money on it so that was a positive. That was it for us. Overall tickets have gotten so expensive it is not on our bucket list to go even if they have a decent shot to win, which is not very often. So maybe attend a game a season just to go. But for us it has been like that for several seasons now. Overall just not much interest in going to a game to watch them in person.

Absolutely should not have been a surprise to ANYONE. We've known Hunter was an incompetent, idiot AD for years now. Him still being employed here in the first place is a huge indictment of the entire administration.
The problems clearly go a lot higher than HY.
I'm done with all of it. Basketball, baseball too. The fan base as a whole is nothing but a cash cow that the higher ups don't even think they need to water/feed.
I've got better things to devote my time and money to. It'll take a lot more than a new AD to get me back on the train at this point.
