$225,000 base salary and $25,000 for speaking fees through 2023.

Congrats to the AD, they have now destroyed the crown jewel of Arkansas sports for another 5 years.

I'm fricking flabbergasted by this actually.

we truly are trying to become the "mediocre" University in all things athletics.

Unbelievable.

The only two that deserved raises were Deifel and DVH.

DVH needs to be our next AD.

This is mind blowing. The program has done nothing but go downhill over the last decade.

I would add Shauna Taylor to that list for the work she's done with the Arkansas Women's Golf program. We should have a top 5 program again this year and Taylor is a lifer who has been here forever and year.

Bucknam, on the other hand, has presided over the decline of one of the greatest dynasties in sports history. He makes Bert look like Frank Broyles in comparison.

Heck, he makes Chad look like... uhh, well.. No, at this point, that analogy doesn't work.

This legit pisses me off. Checked out this years men’s track class? It fricking infuriated me. We signed 12 and 4 are decathletes; no distance runners.

You want to be AD for the Razorbacks? Real simple: Talk up wms and how important the state is. JOB FOR LIFE. Never mind the fact tha you actually pulled games from WMS by making it every other year but as long as you make them feel good you will be set at AD.

Seriously.... people think that 1 game every other year vs. a forced rivalry on Thanksgiving weekend is a win for wms?

And guess who started the move to pull games---- FRANK BROYLES not Jeff Long. The problem is that Jeff Long was blunt about the state of wms and he didn't care about hurting egos.

Did Yurachek really prioritize the rest of the state and WMS? Nope. But he knows what to say to make people feel like he cares.

It's the same reason why fans want to hire any jabroni who goes to the LR Touchdown Club and talks about the importance of wms and little rock..... Tuberville.

We don't need an Arkansan.

We don't need someone who talks about the importance of the state and makes people feel good about their hometown.

We need a winner. Win and people will show up regardless of where we play.

Winning = more money

Oh and being a yes man is definitely. I'd like to know who was clamoring for Bucknam getting an extension.

Holy Hell!

Amen.

There's been a noticeable shift in the last decade away from former coaches to more financially-minded ADs of the sports executive mold as college sports have become bigger and bigger. However, often what you often lose in making that shift is the eye for winners and the insatiable demand for excellence. Look what happened to Texas when Deloss Dodds retired and they replaced him with Steve Patterson, or Nebraska when they replaced Tom Osborne with Steve Pedersen. Hell, outside of '10 and '11, look at what has happened to our football program since Long replaced Broyles.

I'm not out on Yuracheck, but I am absolutely in favor of promoting DVH as AD when the time comes.

I'm willing to give him a shot at this point. Or even bringing back Nolan Richardson as AD/dictator for a couple of months to clean house.
