If we are stuck with Major Assholewipe as our OC than I will admit it will take a lot of the shine off the Pittman hire. Well... if it is him, than it is him.

It could also be a hell of a lot worse if it is indeed Major Applewhite.

Why not Briles and Applewhite?

Applewhite has always been Avery distant third for OC score.

Briles is easily the best option, but Long seems to always have a solidly top 15-ish offense. He also makes more sense to me from what Pittman has said he wants from a scheme standpoint. But if the dudes a pshyco devil a-hole in the vein if Bobby, he ain't getting hired.

the way long is leaving ND is really odd. definitely raises some flags.

someone mentioned pittman wants to get coaches with the same approach to players that he has, which is not in line with BP-lite.

i can also see that as a necessary thing right now. these players have been through a lot, and probably need someone who can pull everyone together as a team and completely buy in.

Briles. I believe he will figure out the best ways to help players score

I'm not so sure about this. Applewhite has had only 1 top 10 offense - ever. Chad Morris had a better resume and everyone seems convinced that guy is a fricking bum.

Applewhite would be an extremely underwhelming hire in my eyes.

If we pass up Briles for Applewhite I will have a major disappoint.

I just googled him, I had heard of him over the years of course, but I always thought he was black. Not that it matters in the slightest but just letting y’all have a dip into my brain. He looks like he’s 12 on his wiki pic and his first name is Major which is worse than Robb with 2 Bs imo.

just in name alone, I would think it would be a Major improvement over Chard....

I could be wrong, but it doesn't happen often at all.

No... I am serious...

Stop laughing, it doesn't!

I remember him playing for Texas. Which is weird because when they posted his stats up above I was like, "wtf. I must be getting old. This mofo has coached at like 7 places already."
