He can flat out call plays. The only person that is above him coaching right now is probably only Kyle Shanahan

Give Andy Reid Jimmy G and Kyle Mahomes and see what happens

He’s also one hell of a qb developer. Coach Pitt talked to him a lot at midfield after the game. I hope he was offering him the OC job when Briles leaves.

I'm not sure he is the type of guy that would be willing to work under anyone at this point in his career but I would love to have him.

In 2017 Reid had Alex Smith and still had better offensive production than all but 1 of Shanahan's years as head coach

Yeah I don’t think so either. If he could check his ego and just coach an offense then he could name his destination and price.

Briles Jr is ok but he’s not on the same level as his dad or Bobby Petrino.

How many Super Bowls or Championship games did he make it with Alex Smith? I'll hang up and listen

Respect to BmfP...still hates to recruit though. I like where we're at.

Petrino is the best I've seen at Arkansas in my time.

Those who watched the coaches show during his years here would agree he came across as an offensive scientist when diagramming receiver routes and play calls.

Very complex routes to create mismatches and generating an open receiver where he wanted the ball to go.

It’s gonna suck when he winds up at Auburn.

When I said that this off season, everyone claimed his time had passed. He isn’t done. He is a twat of a human, but can win games and be a straight mercenary and that’s what Auburn will get next. Whether it be Bobby or Freezus.

I don’t think he winds up at Auburn.

He’s 61 and flamed out at Louisville in his second go around. This isn’t the Bobby Petrino of 2012.

Petrino’s defenses weren’t usually very good, because he kept all the talent on the offense. And I don’t think anyone who worked with him very long wanted to continue doing so, because he was an unmitigated arse. Saban is the only coach that has had success at a high level while being a prick to everyone.

Fine, Nebraska or Arizona State would suck less, but I still think they’d take him and he’d put in work.
