True, but you're only spreading that money over 6 or 7 players. Takes a lot more for football.

As I’ve said, this is just going to come down to who spends money better. You spend money on linemen offense and defense. Then quarterback. You can get skill positions for cheap and diamonds in the rough. Look at Armstrong and Teslaa.

Almost like there is a professional league and the best teams do just that for the past two decades.

if we had a good offensive line we win at least 2 more games. That’s a 9/10 win season and on the cusp of the playoffs. An O line is only 5 players

Why is this?
Sam is supposedly an OL guru, do players not want to play for him.

He continues to go through coaches like Bert and has yet to find any worth a shite.

I like the guy, but I think he just drawing a retirement check from an unserious program

In this case it doesn't matter how much or how it is spent. Sam and this staff will not be able to do any more than they have already done.

Kids don't want the money to lose more than they win.

Chicken/Egg

Kids would win more if they didn't commit turnovers and dumb penalties at the dumbest times in game.

You can blame the players for metal breakdowns and not taking care of the ball or you can blame the coaches for it happening during the games.

A large NIL budget may allow for depth to bench the players who commit penalties/turnovers, but we have a HC how is as hardheaded and loyal to players as HDN when it comes to who plays and who doesn't.

I was at the game and if Tech had a QB then that would be a close game but fortunately for Arkansas they faced a QB worse than Green.

That was not a good conference USA team that they played yesterday and Green got flushed out of the pocket a lot.

I agree that linemen on both sides of the ball are the crucial foundation of a good team. That's why I started out liking Beilema, he started building from the lines out, until he got lazy or whatever happened.
You better have adequate backups in place too.

Pittman was offered a retirement package yesterday.

Hoping he takes it.

giving green more time to overthrow receivers doesn't equal 2 more wins

he is a turnover machine, and after however many games hasn't grasped the QB position at an even moderately successful level.

Or we blew our load on KJ and Rocket and did the opposite of what I said.

He's coming back. He's safe this year even if he loses out from here. Next year we will do the same dance.

My theory, with our schedule, they'd like him to get under 500 so the buy out is less. Our schedule next year is crazy hard. Harder than normal.

Our schedule is always hard. I just want a year where we get Kentucky, vandy South Carolina auburn, Missouri without facing Georgia or Alabama. Is that too much to ask?
