frick Ole Miss, that game is history to all of us now - at least the final score.

Starkel is the future of both the offense and the defense. This is an entirely different team on BOTH sides when Starkel is the man taking snaps.

I, for one, am excited about the future for the first time in a while despite the loss. I saw a spark there that we hadn't had in a long time, this isn't the last exciting game we'll take part in and I'm always right about this kind of stuff.

Something ignited in me (and Starkel) tonight and I know deep down it'll be better from here. I'm actually looking forward to more games for the first time in a long time even though the score doesn't show it, something clicked tonight that will change everything.

Take it for what you will, I feel weirdly optimistic though.

Starkel is for sure the guy this year and next. We won't go winless in conference this year and there's a possibility of taking a huge stride next year.

That said, I've lost most faith in Morris.

Its going to take some magical improvements and play calling for me to not be pissed at Chad for the Starkel situation.

I lost a lot of faith in him tonight, and I didn’t have much faith to begin with.

what happens if he starts Hicks again next week?

Just kidding, I hope.

Agree with you Drew. Morris has to take over the play calling and let it be publicly known that he has, and see what happens from there. IMO

I'm not sure any of that is going to happen. Hicks situation is Chad in a microcosm. Dude is too nice to do that.

Here is the scary part. Chad knows what’s being called and he isn’t overriding the calls. We never should have see the wildcat after the first one. It was obvious they fixed that issue, like a normal team would. Then the stupid throwback play. That was the dumbest play call of the night. Why risk killing momentum with that type of play. We were moving the ball.

Am I alone in feeling like we turned a corner tonight, in both personnel going forward (Stark) and a certain gunslinger mentality on offense?

The "nothing to lose" mentality will finally permeate the offense and you WILL see a change. I don't know how, but I just know.

That back shoulder throw to Knox was a thing of beauty and an SEC level throw that we haven’t seen in awhile.

Oh I know we are about to look a ton better, but we should already be miles ahead of where we are right now. Starkel should have gotten every God damn 1st team rep since he was eligible to....

It's really weird, but I feel the same way. Starkel changes everything.

That would have been a TD had our NFL talent, middle school intelligence TE, known what the actual play call was.

You notice that he hit Knox and o Grady on passes they weren’t ready for because he actually knows how to get rid of the ball on time. Hicks was so goddamn afraid to throw the ball because he doesn’t trust his arm he’s waiting for windows to open that will never be there against sec competition so when starkel came in and started slinging it the receivers weren’t even expecting the ball

I cringed so hard on the "bomb" Hicks threw. That shite was a lame duck for 35 yards.

He did know what the play call was, the QB threw the ball to the wrong WR. The WR panicked and ran backwards.

That is poor coaching and preparation by the staff.

hard to hold onto a pass when the whole defense can adjust mid air and lay a hit on you full speed every pass

Except when he needs to throw it soft like the pass to Whaley over the middle he throws it as hard as he can lol
