I don't see how keeping Notae would make any sense for us next year

It doesn't, but it makes us more talented just by keeping him instead of potentially bringing in a Chris Lykes type.

You don't see how bringing a 2x elite 8 experienced, all American guard back makes sense?

This board is ridiculous.

I’m a Notae hater, I think he takes too many ridiculous shots, but him leaving wouldn’t automagically make us better.

Notae coming back allows Arkansas to have an improved bench. Something Arkansas lacked this year.

Notae might also be a better scorer if he isn't forced to take 50 shots a game. He did what his team needed him to do.

Exactly. The offense can adjust next year if he comes back and has more scoring support

Notae rarely sat on the bench unless he was in foul trouble. He probably gets gassed at the end of some of these games because he is the only true scoring option Arkansas has on the court, think of Mason Jones as someone who had to carry the team.

I think depth of our bigs was the missing piece this year. Notae was good for this team but with the 5* depth coming in and a top PG on board,I don't think a ball hog, volume scorer fits well.

Hogs have made contact with Manny Bates from NC State. Another rim-runner like Brazile. I would love to have 2, maybe even over Aimaq.

You realize that was our gameplan right?

He had a ton of games with 5+ assists and finished 8th in a guard talented league for assists.

Let's not pretend like he had a ton of reliable options to dish the ball to.

Our offense was really at it's best when Notae was gashing the defense and going to the rim. He drew tons of fouls and set his teammates up for some easy buckets.

And as STL pointed out, he didn't have a lot hot shooters to dish the ball to. JD did it all for us.

And with other options, he could do what he does best and attack the basket more. If he fouls out, he fouls out. And he's an elite defender, has a year to work on his shot. How to keep everyone happy? Score more.

I don’t see Muss going after Reid. Fouls too much, nonexistent three point shooter and a terrible free throw shooter.

Plus we get to be picky with who we take now. Although I do feel like we need at least one more big to go with Williams in case we run into a team like duke in the tournament
