He is an absolute racehorse and legit 6'3.5-6'4". He's also bulked up quite a bit this year. What kills him is the level of competition he plays (every game is basically a 20+ point blowout) and his coaching is abysmal.
He will have will need serious polishing by a real staff in college, but the physical potential is there.

He got worked by a 6'4" senior from DeQueen last night. Kid was able to back him down and shoot over him several times. Kid isn't even listed on any site anywhere. Will Dykes was his name. He played hard and was the only reason DeQueen was even able to score.
Magnolia won by 35 and Ford made some plays but he can't shoot. That magnolia team is no joke. They're all crazy athletic and can shoot.

I've watched game after game of them and Ford constantly passes up jump shots and wide open 3's. I don't know if it's hesitation on his part or if he is being coached to give up the ball to the better shooters on the team (of which there are at least 2 or 3 of them).
The crazy thing is, they lost their best shooter this year to Maumelle when his family moved. Otherwise, that squad would probably have had 4 legit college-level ballplayers in their starting 5.
Either way, if Magnolia doesn't win the 4A title this year, it will be quite a major blunder.

With the Oregon loss tonight (team literally quit on Altman and they got blown out by 14-14 Washington by 20+) they are out of the NCAAT without a miracle PAC12T run.

What is the real story behind the Altman thing? Did he really get a look at the books and then bolt? Or is it something more complex.

All this said, maybe for him coming here and trying to be a 1 and done isn’t compatible.
