It’s probably fair to say that playing for a NC is a secondary goal for Coach Calipari….and I’m ok with that.

Primary goal is recruiting and developing the best guards in the country to get them highly drafted by the NBA. If the NC gets in the way and we flush it….fine. If not….he’ll do the same again the following year.

We use leftover dollars on bigs. First money goes to guards. Just how it is. We will always be incredibly exciting to watch and will always have trouble with big uglies who bully us in the lane.

I actually think this might be a pretty solid take and I agree. We are fun to watch!

I don't think he completely ignores bigs like Osayuri etc.....but we go after the stud backcourts first. We are going to be crazy good on the wings and out front defensively this year!

I still think we see another big or 2....

Awesome deal, one of best things about Cal is the scheduling. So many big, key games all over national tv. I remember all the years past of nothing but scrubs all non con and it was so damn boring basically just waiting for SEC play to start.

Also, I think the big man thing is quite overblown. Bowser is 6'11" and Muurinen is 7'. How is that not having a big?

Neither are Corliss bad asses.

Yes and no. Guards line up to play for Cal bigs don't. We paid around $1.2M for Muurinen.

How do you know? Muurinen is a projected first round pick at 7 foot tall. Bowser has more size and can't be worse than Pringle.

My guess is after this season we'll wish we'd paid Muss.

I'll withhold further comments until March Madness

The guy that hasn’t been to the tourney in 3 years?

Losing in the E8 and S16 are basically the same thing when push comes to shove. F4 is the real differentiator.

I’ll take the recruiting, national attention and power scheduling all day over Muss.

Not starting to start a shite storm in here, but I honestly believe that if he was given the resources he would have won a championship here.

Keep in mind this is MY OPINION, you all don't have to agree. And if you do I'm not going to throw a hissy fit about it. It's life.

I'm happy with Cal so far. I, just like all of you, want to win it all. If Cal does it then we can all rekindle our younger selves when we were on top of the world.

Given the resources? Muss final two teams were massive NIL buys and those were his two worst teams.

Think you need to let that one go. He’s not Dusty May dude.

Top 3 recruiting class and he lost 15 games, got clowned by the huskies.

His last year he had a top 10 portal class and missed the tournament.

He couldn't handle the pressure here and ran as fast as he could to USC.
