Yeah he's not the shooter Brazile is but his ball handling is better. Both are violent dunkers and very athletic.

Just odd to have two guys, Dunning & Ford, announce they’re returning but then enter the transfer portal.

Guess it’s to be expected in the transfer portal era where as you say, wanting to come back and having a roster spot are different. Coaches have more control over creating their ideal roster vs being stuck with dead weight.

I always viewed the social media announcments as nothing more than that - announcements.

If you are a top player obviously it is noteworthy but announcements from the bottom of the roster shouldn't be viewed the same but many fans celebrate no matter the announcement.

The transfer portal gave players some control but coaches who want to build a roster yearly like ours can turn it over with best available type talent.

Yeah for a coach to likes to keep the rotation to 8 or so players I dont get what the problem is having a few players develop over time.

HS recruits aren't sitting more than 1 year on the bench without playing because it's viewed as if not playing a player isn't getting better.

The immediate eligibility of the transfer portal ended this IMO.

Notae was the last to sit out and get a developmental year which was something I think Muss really liked because it was a way to shorten his bench with available players and not having guys upset about not playing.

The 13 spots with a sit out you could shrink to 11-12 and play only 8-9 so only 2-3 guys could be upset.

Go develop in a smaller league then transfer to a big school.

Look for an SMU/Ford marriage.

Yeah, he's almost no doubt going to a smaller, yet still respectable program and one closer to home. He was a top 100 recruit. He's not going to have to go to a UALR/LA Tech type of program.

SMU fits that to the T.

Big, big SMU booster David Miller has a "camp" down here in Mt. Holly and his wife is from the area. He could easily woo him just by giving him access to his bass and crappie ponds. He can practice his 3's in the indoor basketball facility.

I fully realize that Ford was probably at least another year away from contributing major minutes for us but dang I hate to see him leave. Feels like another kid in the cycle of Arkansas kids that we spurn and they end up at Ole Miss or Auburn and have career nights against us.

Anyone know anything about this guy? Didn’t play much but highly rated as a recruit. Seems like a good fit for Muss

I would think if he doesn’t go to one of the pro leagues then he’s ours.

Blocker will have to be the real deal to get major minutes next year.

The portal has changed college basketball. Unless you are really good coming out of high school or a fully developed player with years of experience then you will sit on the bench.

I believe Muss is honest with these players by telling them that they aren't ready to be starters at this moment and they need more time and development. You can't get that sitting on the bench.

Blocker is Devo when Devo passed the ball really well and hit mid range jumpers. He will get minutes.

Nah he will get minutes. We all know Muss mainly cares about one thing and Blocker is really good at that. Defense.

I think he’s a better shooter than Black.

He’s also be a Top 25 player nationally after it’s all said and done. Same as Black.

He will get minutes.
