Yeah something like that.
Entire staff wore down the last few weeks. Never seen anything like it but Hobbs will get a free pass too.
Hagen lost his control more and more
Tygart got worse
Molina got worse

Time for DVH to retire and go hang out with the grandkids.
Eta: Downvote me all you want but this program consistently has the same problems over the last decade that has kept it from achieving greatness at DVH has refused to fix it.
Decent pitching that falters at the end of the year and crap hitting that cant score when its needed.

This has become a trend with DVH and Hobbs the last few years.
Start out hot and tail off. We somehow found it in 2022, but we also benefited from good regional and supers matchups that year.

I still struggle with how this group of bats won 44 games this season.
I know the pitching carried them much of the season but the holes in the lineup and the group of players to choose 3 OF from is rough.
Pitching depth evaporated the last month with injuries and gassed what remaining arms we did have available. Even those have become iffy last couple weeks with walks.
So many on the pitching staff have only one pitch they can throw for a strike and other teams know in the scouting report.

He’s done a lot of good things, but he and Aloy have had some absolutely horrible AB’s this year.
