Probably Walsh and Black. Let Graham and Mitchell’s protect the rim if he gets by.

That's what I thought. Does he have the ability to play low at times, or is he more of a tall/lanky guard?

I would almost like to give Devo a chance to get up into his undercarriage first. If he hits a couple over the top then go to the taller guys.

Afraid he'll cause foul trouble for Walsh/Black. Occasionally a shorter quick guy can really get to a guy like that if his shot isn't falling.

Devo basically completely shut him down for 35 minutes the first game.

Got gassed and couldn’t get through a couple screens where he hit some 3s late in the game that were daggers.

Bigger problem was we couldn’t score for like 10 minutes.

Should whoever guards him make shooting/gun references as trash talk?

I clicked on this thread to say I hope we put Kamani out there for a bit on him. I see I’m not the only one.

"Should" is a subjective term.

But yes.

Kamani has a broken toe. He was in a boot on Tuesday.

Coach would probably call it right toe management if asked about it. Lol.

Final stats show +30

So what am I missing?

I'm seeing 4 points, 1 rebound, 2 fouls, 3 assists, 2 turnovers

-2.8

He was 2/2 shooting. He played unselfishly. We can go on a deep run with that version of devo. Lock down defender that doesn’t force things offensively.

Offense needs to flow though smith Notea style.

I've got no problem with Devo just wondering where the +30 came from

He's what we wanted Brazille to be. SCAR had 0 success guarding him last night. Alabama just spready the court and let him drive. That won't work on us because we have legit rim protection unlike SCAR.

A player’s “plus/minus” score is the amount that your team outscored the other team during the time you spent on the floor (or got outscored).

The stat was developed to try and account for guys who just make everybody else around them better while maybe not lighting up the box score themselves. Walsh is another guy that is almost always at the top of the team in +/- in any given game but hardly ever lights up the box score.

Anybody can certainly argue the stat’s usefulness. I’m not saying it’s the be all, end all - but it’s helpful.

Where is the best place to find this? Apps are hit or miss for me on showing it.

Gotcha, I was confusing it with the net metric that tries to account for a players affect on the game based on their individual statistics

If Saturday’s game was in Fayetteville, it’d be a madhouse.

Bet we’d have like a dozen students get ejected.
