I kinda hate to admit this but I’m rewatching the game now - 8 minutes left. The last few minutes where KY got the lead then we would not give up- just beautiful basketball.

Don’t hate it. I’ve watched several short replays. Enjoy the wins against Kentucky when you can.

If there is anything Muss wants...I suspect Muss gets.
Hunter ain't no fool.

And what’s so beautiful about it is Notae scores his final points with about 8 min left. We go toe to toe with UK down the stretch with Notae facilitating other scorers and some great individual play from Jaylin. Even in a 30 point game, our offense wasn’t ONLY JD.

Maryland is a step down without a doubt.
Louisville would be intriguing, they’re slightly more prestigious than us but just don’t see him leaving a #2 class on the table with Black still in play. He’s building us back into a National brand with tons of hype around the SEC as a whole.
He’s winning big here, long as we pay him, I don’t see why’d he leave for anywhere but a KU, UK, Duke level program. And I don’t see him being a fit at any of those anyway.
UCLA might be a concern but what’s his face is doing fine there.

strolled over to one of Louisvilles message board. They are under the impression that Muss needs to be their next coach and need to throw a lot of money his way.
I want what they are smoking.
Which one?

Maryland thinks the same. Their 247 staff member says he has “inside info” that Muss is antsy here and all their fans basically shite on Arkansas and say there’s no way he wants to live here long term.
I get Louisville but they're out of their minds.

Yeah if Muss stays I’m sure he’ll have carte blanche on whatever he wants the BWA renovation to look like

Have to think your NIL program is significantly ahead of Maryland. Even with UA.
Not sure about Louisville, they’re shady AF so all bets are off on that front.
Mack completely failing there has to be a concern for any coach going in.

He doesn't have to leave when he can turn Arkansas basketball into a elite level program.

Muss isn’t going anywhere. He’s making 4mil right now and Louisville thinks they can get him for 5
He’s probably about to make close to 6 here if he makes another deep run

Louisville is marginally a historically better program.
Muss knows any other college arena environment will be a step down. Our fans make the difference.
If he can win big next year, he's here for life.

What I like the most about Muss is the fact that he wants to play great defense. It's part of who he is and what he wants his teams to be like on the court. The reason why I like that is because you will always be a relevant team if you can play great defense.
This year's team isn't a great team offensively, but we are elite defensively. That keeps us in any and every game we play.
Really, as a program, we somewhat pride ourselves in having a lot of fight. We might not have the best talent on the court, field, or diamond, but we will keep coming after you and eventually that wears on the other team.
I'm getting a little side tracked here.
tl;dr version: pay Muss. He's a good fit here. He's sharp, and I like the fact that his teams punch people in the mouth and he hates losing.

Muss just isn't a coach you want to lose due to money. There may be other reasons a family would leave...but we simply can't lose him for $$.

Ugh just looked for Saturday. 11am ESPN game.
Jimmy Dykes at 11am
Why are we not on the CBS game again? No other matchup comes close.

Has anyone heard how his family likes living up there? They seem happy.
Muss has to know that with the talent in Arkansas and the tradition and facilities here he can have a good a chance to win it all here as anywhere.
It’s been done here, it can be done again….

This is a great point actually. Would love to know where we sit on the per capita basis. I know rivals had a football thing out a while ago, wondering if its there for basketball.

We may lose Muss eventually, but it won't be soon and it sure as hell won't be to Loserville.
