Should be a tough game tomorrow.

That wouldn't be a good sign. UNI rightly gets respected as good mid major but the one team they have played with a pulse this year was Vermont and beat them by 14 at their place. They also lost to the 209th team currently in Kenpom at home. Baylor just beat that same team by 39 yesterday.

They probably are not truly that bad though so maybe they start to wake up.

I want to see us bring the pain. I'm preparing though for us to not be gelled. And struggle a little at some point.

Pspn coverage is pretty weak as is. Now you're not even putting in the effort to cover the game......disappointing pio. Disappointing.

Well, we do until we don't. Hope that clears up the confusion.

One of the positives from last night is we might have found our solution for the season at the pg spot if JD can play more like that. He didn't shoot the ball well from deep but we needed those 9 assists and 1 turnover.

JD is a much better player than when he started. He went 1/7 from deep and still put up a monster stat sheet just not from 3 line. He was an assist and a couple rebounds away from a triple double.

No doubt. He has grown a lot since last year even. He is getting some great assists since he draws so much attention.

We have a stupid amount of offensive weapons this year. Umude, Notae, Toney, Davis, Williams, Lykes, KK and Vanover could all go for 20+ on you. We aren't as stout defensively but we certainly haven't looked bad. The whole team really picked up the pressure when Devo went out.

Defense will get better. The effort is there, just need more understanding and trust of each other, just like last year.

We were getting white boy pump faked to death and they were throwing everything in the ocean.

That team is going to be salty in the MVC. They didn't have that corn fed white dude AJ Green all year last year, even with that ugly arse shot, he can ball.

Love Muss scheduling these games.

Having been at the game and reflecting on it 24 hours later, I can assure you no one on the team or staff is "satisfied with a 13 point loss." Yes, the first two D1 games were disappointing but they were the first two played with AJ and Kimmons having missed all of last year. Additionally, Born (injury) and Henry (suspension) did not play in those games either. Yes, we should never be satisfied with losing but having seen their facilities, corporate support from big money supporters like Walmart (Bud Walton Arena), Tyson Foods, JB Hunt Transportation, etc., the gap between the "resources haves" of Arkansas and the "resources have nots" of UNI are huge. The atmosphere in their arena gives them a huge advantage, from their pre-game "Globetrotter-like sweet Georgia Brown" ball handling, juggling, dunking, uni-cycling antics to their in-game "Soo-ee, Soo-ee, Soo-ee, Razorbacks" cheer that EVERYONE in the crowd participates in during every time out, is very impressive. Compare that to our home court atmosphere where half of our fans can't even clap their hands during our team introductions.

What I saw last night is encouraging, not discounting a fact that it is another loss. We made some mistakes those last few minutes but what really cost us the game is we allowed too many easy shots around the basket and dunks during the earlier parts of the game. Their fans were very complimentary of our team after the game, which I realize is easy to do after they have beaten us. Looking forward to continued improvement as we go forward.
